The men's and women's Xpedition is for the snowshoer that wants to explore the backcountry in comfort and style. The technical features of the snowshoe combine performance and comfort for a great all-mountain snowshoe. The biomechanically-designed fit step frame features a kicked up tail, which allows the snowshoe to roll more comfortably from heel to toe, giving you a more natural stride. The R2 Revolution Response pivot system is great for backcountry travel because it provides shock-absorbing lateral flex, which allows you to keep a natural and comfortable foot position and provide solid grip on variable or side hill terrain. The full step rotation allows the tail of the snowshoe to drop, shedding snow and allowing the toe crampon to dig deeply. The asymmetric and easy-to-use React binding combines gender-specific stable base construction and the three-dimensionally molded control wings to keep your foot aligned with the rest of the snowshoe at all times. An easy-to-use locking heel strap stays cinched for your full trip. The 19-degree active heel lift is an essential backcountry feature. It keeps your foot flat on steep ascents, reducing calf fatigue and Achilles tendon strain when climbing. Finally, the aggressive cobra traction features a carbon steel toe crampon under the ball of the foot to provide constant contact in variable snow conditions. And the variable u-grip heel crampons micro serrated tooth design gives you supreme weight traction under your heel. All in all, the Tubbs Xpedition is an extremely versatile snowshoe that will get you anywhere you need to go – whether it's a gentle stroll in the backyard or an ambitious summit attempt, you can count on the Xpedition to get you to your destination.
