Unpacking the Sierra Designs Tensegrity 1 FL

What should you expect to find when opening your Sierra Designs Tensegrity 1 FL? This is it.

Sierra Designs Tensegrity 1 FL Unpacking Video

Here we have got the Sierra Designs Tensegrity one person tent.   This is how it comes packaged and we are going to take it apart, take a look at everything that comes with the tent.

First of all, my first impressions of it are it is very light weight. It comes in a really innovative packaging. So you can see the tent pole and the stakes come on the outside and then you have got your tent body in its own stuff sack.   And for me when I go camping, backpacking, I normally separate the poles and the stakes from the tent body anyway. Sometimes I put the tent in a different stuff sack.  So the way this comes packaged is really great for someone like me who likes to compartmentalize.

The poles are in this little sack right here and the Tensegrity one person comes with just one pole and that is for the part of the tent that is around your feet. So this is the pole here.  Open it up and show that, really light weight, pre bent pole there.   Also inside this is instructions on how to set up the tent.   They are just paper instructions and they do a really great job of explaining this set up. So you can take a look at that at home and then when you take it into the backcountry you can leave it behind.

On the other side of the packaging here you have got your stakes, nine stakes.  And then you also have your guy-out points. So you have two additional guy-out points that are here. So these guy lines, really light weight. The way they design them, they are really easy to use.  They are not on the tent themselves... itself. There is the other guy-out points that you need to set it up.

There is that packaging. Light weight rip stop fabric here on the stuff sack. And then if I take this apart you also have some instructions here on the outside of the stuff sack. It makes it really easy.

And then here you just have the tent body. So this is considered a single wall tent. You don’t have a separate rain fly and a tent body. But there you have it, the Tensegrity One Person Tent.
