Hi, and welcome to Backcountry Edge. I'm Liz and I'd like to introduce you to Marmot sleeping bags. The Marmot Pinnacle uses 800 fill power European goose down. This bag is a 3-season option for backpackers, campers and climbers. It's a great bag for someone who wants a compressible bag, they want it to be lightweight but they don't neccessarily want to spend the money on a bag with a higher fill power. A nice feature on this bag is going to be the baffling design which is a full baffle construction. Everywhere you see these sewn seams, they don't go through to the inside of the bag so you don't have cold spots. The Pinnacle also has, what Marmot is calling, a forward cant foot box. This means the foot box is designed so that when your feet lean forward in the bag there is adequate space for them. It's actually quite comfortable. The Pinnacle has a Nautilus hood with six chambers, like most Marmot bags, and insulated face gaurds around the forehead and the chin. They keep the weight of the bag down with a single draw cord here and it lets you snug the hood down real tight. Inside the bag you have a down filled collar with it's own draw cord. The Pinnacle also has snag-free zippers that run the length of the bag. Opening the bag up you'll find a thick draft tube along the zipper and at the end of the draft tube is a hidden pocket that stuffs inside the end of the tube neatly. You have a little zippered pouch that fits in there and this keeps it from banging into your face in the middle of the night.
