We are taking a look at the Marmot Limestone four and six person tents. I have got the four person set up right and, as you can see, I have got the six person right there. You can just see how that packs down. Perfect camping, car camping, family camping tent. You have got lots of space, really tall peak height, big D shaped doors, easy in and out and a lot of breathability in this mesh upper.
The first thing that stood out to me about the Limestone tents is just the pole structure and how much space you have inside the tent. You have got four poles on this tent, two blue long poles that run the length of the sides and then you have these yellow poles that really bring the sidewalls of this tent vertical. You can see that that sidewall here is just straight up and down. This brings the interior of the tent out and it gives you a lot of livable space inside, rather than some more traditional tents that have that A frame. These two yellow poles are going to just give you so much more livable space inside.
There is a series of sleeves and clips, so with a big tent like this, these sleeves are going to give you a lot of security. They are really going to keep those poles where they need to be. And then you also have the clips that are pretty easy to use, just the plastic clips that keep the body of the tent close to the poles there.
Second thing I really love about the tent is this big D shaped door. I want to mention that the zippers here, they are jingle free zippers, so if it is windy at night you are not going to hear all of that clanking around. You can see how big that door opens.
The Limestone four and six tents come with an included door mat, which is a nice feature for muddy shoes and that kind of thing. And I can kick off my shoes, keep them there and, as you can see, really easy in and out.
As you can see, there is plenty of space in this tent. In the four person version the interior height is 61 inches and in the six person it is 76 inches. So you have got a lot of space. I can almost stand up in this tent. I am a about 5’6”. So plenty of space for four people to have themselves and their, you know, sleeping bags, sleeping mat, everything.
We have got the rain fly on and the rain fly is 68 D polyester rip stop fabric. It is seam taped and so you are confident you are going to have a lot of waterproof protection, really durable with that polyester rip stop fabric.
The vestibule area here on the four person, it is 21 square feet. And on the six person tent it is 25 square feet. So you have got a lot of room right here in the vestibule in the front.
You have got a storm flap in front of that zipper and the zipper opens really wide to show you that big vestibule area.
You do have some ventilation as well so there is a vent here and you have another vent on the other side. So with the no-see-um mesh on the inside and the ventilation here, you can definitely get a nice cross breeze.
Set up is a breeze with the Limestone tents. Just like the color coded poles, you have got color coded clips on the rain fly and the corresponding corner of the tent body, so you know you can orient the tent the right way every time with the door being in the front. That makes setting up a lot easier. I can set up this tent by myself, but it is definitely easier with two people.
You know that you are going to stay dry with this durable, water proof seam taped rain fly and the sprawling interior space. You can spend a lot of time in it and have a lot of fun.
It is the Marmot Limestone four and six person tents.
