Curly: Hi. I am Curly and welcome to Curly’s clips.
Here we have our four season Alpinist two person tent. It utilizes our Marmot membrane proprietary laminate fabric so it is fully waterproof and seam taped.

You can set up this tent during a storm without getting snow or water inside your tent. We call it storm pitch. But don’t take my word for it. Let’s hear it from certified guide Keith Garvey.
Keith Garvey: Here we are enjoying a great sunset in the north cascades of Mount Baker. Today we climbed partway up the Fisher Chimneys and just set up our bevy site using a Marmot two person Alpinist tent. I am Keith Garvey, an IFMJ Mountain Guide and owner of All Mountain Adventures. Tomorrow our goal is to head down to the Curtis glacier and go for a potentially unclimbed route of the west ridge of Shucksom.
Knowing we had multiple nights out, we chose this single walled tent due to its durability and being light weight. There are guyline attachments on each wall as well as on every corner giving you the ability to glue this tent down withstand even the words of Yento Blanco. The tent uses three feather light poles which attach easily to the outside making for a fast and efficient set up. Now let’s check out the inside.
The nice thing about this is it actually has a built in vestibule—most tents don’t have that—which is super awesome. We want to come in a little bit closer and see a few other features that are so awesome about the tent here.
Most tents you see these days don’t have taped seams. Marmot tapes all their seams in their tents. They are ready to go right out of the manufacturer. I love these high pockets. It makes it a lot better than a lot of tents using down low. I can put my head lamp up here, toothbrush, toothpaste, easy to get to super quick.
Look at this. They have vents here. And then they have a screen as well so you get great airflow coming across the tent. They are still protected with flaps above so you are not going to get any moisture in here. It prevents condensation inside of the tent.
Actually, one of my favorite features is the teardrop window. It gives quick access to check current conditions and can provide great views for your morning brew. The Alpinist is the single walled tent that will withstand all conditions for any mountain adventure. To see a full line of all their light weight tents, go to Marmot.com.
