Gregory Paragon and Maven Series Overview
Gregory Paragon and Maven Series
The Gregory Baltoro and the women's specific Deva are perennial award-winners for their ability to comfortably carry heavy loads, but the pack designers at Gregory recognized that some hikers and backpackers don't need quite as much load-hauling capacity and would love to trade some of that capacity for a little less weight and enhanced breathability. With that very goal in mind, Gregory delivered the well-organized and feature-rich Paragon and the Maven packs, which borrow from the strong foundation of the trail-tested Baltoro and Deva to ensure carrying comfort, but strip away excess weight and maximize ventilation.
The Paragon and Maven are available in a wide array of size capacities, but they share key design features, most notably the innovative Aerolon Suspension system.
A wishbone-shaped perimeter frame feeds directly into the lumbar portion of the pack, which effectively drives weight to your hips to stabilize, reduce fatigue, and allow the pack to flex in unison with your natural movement.
Stacked foam padding and strategic "cutaways" provide comfort, enhance stability, and permit warm air to escape so you stay cool and comfortable as you hike.
Adjustability in the harness and hipbelts, as well as load-lifter straps and a sliding sternum strap really help dial in fit.
Other shared features include top and front access points, a wealth of storage pockets, trekking pole attachment systems, hydration system compatibility, and a unique sunglasses “stow” system on the harness.
Each pack even houses its own protective raincover!
Equipped with the load-hauling capability you expect from Gregory as well as fit adjustability, excellent breathability, and a wealth of features, the Paragon and Maven packs are lightweight and versatile for everything from short overnight trips to extended backpacking adventures.
