Exped MegaMat 10 Sleeping Pad Video

We are going to take a closer look at the Exp-ed Mega Mat 10, ultra comfortable, ultra warm, self-inflated sleeping pad that can be used all yeah round camping. Very sprawling dimensions on the Mega Mat 10, it's a full 77 inches in length, 30 inches wide and as you can see 44inches thick of self-inflated form. also a really nice trica lining on the top of the mattress it gives it that nice next to skin comfort and bolsters the warmth of the pad. A full 9.5 R value on this pad, making it extremely warm. The mega mat 10 is equipped with Exp-ed innovative flat valves, as the name would attest, this sit flat to the pad itself so it actually does away with a fairly common wear point on a more traditional pad where the nozzle extends out beyond the pad itself. There is an inflate valve, there's a deflate valve. So very simply when you are ready to inflate the valve, you will open the inflate valve and there is self inflating form inside which has been in a compressed state. Once you open and draw air in to the interior of the pad. To top it off, to get it fully inflated, Exp-ed does include a small mini pump, there's a connection point here that clicks right in to that valve, let's air in to that pad or in to the pump rather, covers and introduces air in to the pad. That also keeps you from having to blow wind in to the pad and potentially putting moist air inside the pad which over time can wear away at the interior of the pad. Deflate valve when you are ready, you have woken up in the morning and you are ready to go, open that deflate valve, you can already hear air escaping from the pad. In addition to the mini pump, each mega mat also comes with its own stuff sack and inside that stuff sack there is a small pocket, there's a fill repair kit inside there in case you should run in to any holds or any kind of issues that can be easily patched with that kit. As you can see, not the lightest weight, not the most packable pad in the world, it is not designed for back-packing purposes. If you are looking for extreme comfort and extreme warmth for year round camping Exp-ed Mega mat is a great choice.
