Designed for backpacking and hiking in deep snow or wet/muddy conditions, Outdoor Research Verglas Gaiters offer waterproof, lower-leg protection.
Designed for backpacking or hiking in deep snow or wet/muddy conditions, the Outdoor Research Verglas Gaiters offers durable, waterproof, lower-leg protection from the elements and keeps trail debris out of your boots.
The leg sections of the Verglas Gaiters are made of 3-layer waterproof, breathable 50D Ventia, ripstop fabric while the workhorse boot section is constructed of 500D Cordura with a packcloth lining. The top closures employ 3/4 inch-wide webbing and cam buckles. A 1 and one-half inch wide hook/loop front Velcro closure improves durability and creates a snug, secure fit around the leg while a double-riveted boot lace hook attaches the gaiter to the toe area of your boot. A rugged urethane-coated nylon instep strap provides further stability and allows the Verglas Gaiters to be worn over leather hiking boots or plastic mountaineering boots.
Sold in pairs, Outdoor Research's Verglas Gaiters are available in Medium (men's US shoe size 6-9), Large (size 8-11) and XLarge (size 10-13)

Likes: Fitting nicely over my Scarpa Mont Blanc. True to size, Sturdy material
Dislikes: Slightly bigger in Calf
Likes: Easy to put on. I liked how these fit around the shoe. I'd say they may be running a little big to the size.
Dislikes: I believe how these fit around the calf could use some work: the fit is either a little too loose (they do stay up though) or one really has to tighten the strap creating a risk for scuffing.
Likes: I returned these gaiters, but they seemed to be built well.
Dislikes: I am 6'5" 180lbs and had to order an XL, because of shoe size, but they were to big around the calves.
Likes: Those gaiters really do their job, perfect for wet summer hikes
they dont slip dowm your ankle thx to the adjustable strap on the top of them.
