Real Customer Reviews
- Excellent overall pad
Likes: My inflatable Therm-a-Rest unfortunately popped on my first trip, and while it's ultralight and I love it, I now use this one as extra protection (from both cold and pokey things) underneath it. Works like a charm and adds very little weight. Made in the USA, to me nothing beats Therm-a-Rest. Highly recommended.
- Ideal Glass Pad
Likes: This product is ideal to cut into tri-fold pieces to use as a glass pad for the backcountry. I wouldn't recommend this for an actual sleeping pad.
Likes: Mat seems like it will provide a decent thermal barrier. Has a decent thickness and is lite weight. Seems made well.
- Great value
Likes: Great value, very lightweight, packable. Love the eggshell design (no risk of popping) and insulation is great for the summer.
Dislikes: Not the warmest on the market, but DEFINITELY gets the job done for the price.
Likes: Everything is fantastic for the price
Dislikes: A little bulky
Likes: Awesome product. My son loves it and has been carrying it on his backpack for a few years now. Super lightweight too.
Dislikes: A bit bulky and doesn't come with any way to store it other than strap it to the pack. Doesn't really compress at all.
Likes: Use for the first time on a trip the Sierra's work great and was light weight.
Dislikes: Light Weight
Likes: With a 2.2R rating and in conjunction with a Therm-a-Rest closed cell foam pad and an inflatable air cushion and down sleeping bag. You'll sleep like a baby on the coldest of nights.
Dislikes: Nothing, get a coyote pad and relax.
Likes: didn't like it.
Dislikes: Much bigger and bulkier than I thought. Wish I had done my research better. I ended up spending more money and getting a better insulated pad that was light and compressed down (inflatable).
Likes: In terms of closed cell foam pads, this is the only way to go. The pad is extremely light weight, durable, versatile, and most importantly comfortable. No matter what position I sleep in, I still manage to be relatively comfortable, even if I lay on my side. Granted, its not going to be as comfortable as an air pad, but for the price and how light it is who cares. No more waking up with a sore back.
Dislikes: The only thing I wish it had was a stickier surface so your sleeping bag doesn't have a chance to slide off, but as far as I know, no foam pad does so it still definitely deserves five stars.
