Designed for backpackers, the Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus sleeping pad is a lightweight, compact option for all but the coldest of conditions. Self-inflating foam and strategic die-cutting provide the ProLite Plus with a warm 3.4 R-value.

The ProLite Plus incorporates cutting-edge foams and fabrics that, along with the innovative diagonal die-cutting in the design, keep weight and packed size to a minimum. Therm-a-Rest’s premium Atmos interior foam provides a full 1.5” of cushioned support that is also extremely compressible. Durable face fabrics provide a textured surface that keeps you on the pad at night.

A self-inflating design allows you to simply unroll the ProLite Plus and open the integrated air valve. The pad's open-celled Atmos foam responds by soaking up air, similar to a sponge absorbing liquid. Once the ProLite Plus has inflated, you can adjust the firmness by adding a few puffs of air or pressing down lightly on the pad to release air.

The Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus is available in Small (20" x 47"), Regular (20" x 72") and Large (25" x 77") size options. Therm-a-Rest includes a stuff sack with every ProLite Plus pad.

Awesome sleeping pad
Reviewed by Christon - January 13, 2019

Likes: It’s so easy to use, just twist the airflow cover and let it sit for 10-12 minutes while you set everything up before you sleep and boom give it a couple of breaths before you close the cap depending in how soft or tight you want the pad to be and boom you’re good to go.

foam air pads are better
Reviewed by Ole G. - December 28, 2018

Likes: so comfortable, does not put pressure points at the shoulders like air pads

Dislikes: yes it is bulky, but not as bad as I had expected, long wide is 1 lbs 15oz, not light, but worth it

Comfortable packable pad.
Reviewed by Peter P. - December 16, 2018

Likes: Packs down pretty small and is a combination of air and foam for a 3.4 r value.

Dislikes: None so far.

Perfect for the "Experienced" Hiker
Reviewed by Dani F. - November 26, 2018

Likes: Extra padding and extra width for those of us who might need more cushioning for our aching joints. Well insulated and well worth the few extra ounces.

Dislikes: None.

Best self-inflating foam pad out there
Reviewed by Michael - October 12, 2018

Likes: I'm 5'10" and about 175lbs and can sleep on my side with this pad, no problem. From what I've read, it should be very durable but only time will tell.

Dislikes: Could be lighter or more packable, but then it wouldn't be a self-inflating foam pad.

Works well
Reviewed by Taide Z. - September 7, 2018

Likes: Very comfortable and the size fits well.

Dislikes: Will take some practice rolling it up to fit back in the stuff sac.

Likes: Great backpacking pad- very lightweight and durable

Very compact
Reviewed by Dayton C. - February 7, 2018

Likes: I have been using the exped - this one roles down pretty small like my exped. I got this because sleeping in the exped is noisy when I move around. The term-a-rest is soft textured and feels much more comfortable to sleep on.

Dislikes: The bag that comes with it is a little tight so I have to roll up the mattress tight in order for it to fit inside the bag it comes with.

Lets me sleep! I bought this pad in the 25" wide full length because I sleep on my side and stomach and want a pad that accommodates that - this does. I always sleep well on this and do not consider the weight of 26 oz to be in any way a penalty.
