Designed for backpackers, the Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus sleeping pad is a lightweight, compact option for all but the coldest of conditions. Self-inflating foam and strategic die-cutting provide the ProLite Plus with a warm 3.4 R-value.
The ProLite Plus incorporates cutting-edge foams and fabrics that, along with the innovative diagonal die-cutting in the design, keep weight and packed size to a minimum. Therm-a-Rest’s premium Atmos interior foam provides a full 1.5” of cushioned support that is also extremely compressible. Durable face fabrics provide a textured surface that keeps you on the pad at night.
A self-inflating design allows you to simply unroll the ProLite Plus and open the integrated air valve. The pad's open-celled Atmos foam responds by soaking up air, similar to a sponge absorbing liquid. Once the ProLite Plus has inflated, you can adjust the firmness by adding a few puffs of air or pressing down lightly on the pad to release air.
The Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus is available in Small (20" x 47"), Regular (20" x 72") and Large (25" x 77") size options. Therm-a-Rest includes a stuff sack with every ProLite Plus pad.

Real Customer Reviews
- THERM-A-REST PROLITE PLUS
Likes: Great backpacking pad- very lightweight and durable
- Very compact
Likes: I have been using the exped - this one roles down pretty small like my exped. I got this because sleeping in the exped is noisy when I move around. The term-a-rest is soft textured and feels much more comfortable to sleep on.
Dislikes: The bag that comes with it is a little tight so I have to roll up the mattress tight in order for it to fit inside the bag it comes with.
- Lets me sleep! I bought this pad in the 25" wide full length because I sleep on my side and stomach and want a pad that accommodates that - this does. I always sleep well on this and do not consider the weight of 26 oz to be in any way a penalty.
Likes: High R-value
Self-inflating (just a couple of breaths for firmness)
- super comfortable
Likes: comfort, size, weight
Dislikes: none yet, but really need to test it on the trail
- Love this pad
Likes: Keep warm and comfort when I sleep on the top of it.
- Great all around pad
Likes: I love the 4 season capability of this pad, also makes for a quite nights sleep unlinke most lightweight sleep pads
Dislikes: A little on the heavy side also the valve can be a pain sometimes to open and close.
- Excellent Purchase
Likes: - Comfortable
- Packs small
- Comes with stuff sack
- Plenty of warmth
- The L size is perfect for me at 6’
- Isn’t noisy/crinkly
- Perfect in every way
Likes: Comfortable, light and inexpensive
Dislikes: Holds stains easily but doesn't everything get dirty in the wilderness?
- Self inflating sleeping pad
Likes: I love this pad so far. Just needs one puff of air to finalize inflation. Very comfortable.
Dislikes: Love it so far.
- Super comfy at a respectably light weight!
Likes: Good insulation, packs down well, easy to inflate.
Dislikes: A little on the heavy side, but that is the price of full sleeping comfort for a tall person who shares the pad with their dog.
