Providing optimal comfort for indoor or outdoor use, the unique three-layer design of the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Dream camping mattress features a plush fleece cover with an ultra-soft pillow top, a memory-foam core and a removable NeoAir inflatable pad, which can be removed and used separately.
The inflatable core of the NeoAir Dream utilizes innovative horizontal baffles. These baffles help to increase stability and avoid the "inflatable raft" feeling caused by overinflated vertical baffles. An integrated valve makes inflation simple and an included pump-sack can be used to save you from having to employ your lungs to blow up the pad.
The NeoAir Dream is as convenient as it is comfortable. This 4" thick mattress rolls up quickly with compression straps for easy put-away and storage. The fleece cover is removable and machine-washable.
The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Dream is available in Large (25" x 77") and XLarge (30" x 77") size options. A NeoAir Torrent Pump and repair kit are included.

- 5 Stars but not perfect
Likes: Extremely comfortable. It's a Sleep Number bed for basecamp that pairs very well with another "Dream" mattress to make a queen bed. I also have owned for many years the old "Dream-time" mattress by Thermarest. That was very comfortable but this really is even more so and larger to boot while packing smaller and lighter! Even when base camping packed size still matters.
Dislikes: So, how did they make a mattress bigger and lighter and more comfortable all at the same time? They took out the self-inflating (foam filled) Thermarest pad and put in a big Neoair mattress instead. So, this mattress requires active inflation and results in 2 niggling drawbacks; 1) the included pump is underpowered for inflating this big mattress (prepare yourself for some Zen Contemplation) and 2) the Neoair, of which I own 4 (don't ask) still makes more crinkling sounds then I would prefer as you move. Still, I did a side by side comparison with the double "Exped" mat and 2 XL Thermarests. I can unequivocally state that advantages of the 2 Thermarests (much lighter, smaller when packed, bigger when deployed with individual adjustment possible between sides) far outweighed my 2 little drawbacks and far exceeded what Exped was offering for my use.
- So comfortable!
Likes: Really amazingly comfortable for the weight (which is not too bad--I might even take it backpacking though my friends might make fun of me). Very easy to set up.
Dislikes: A little hard to roll up (I make my husband do it because he has bigger, stronger hands than I do).
- Excellent option for maximum comfort and versatility
Likes: I needed something that was comfortable enough to use for car camping that could serve as a feasible option for backpacking- this one is perfect. SO comfy with the memory foam, shed the memory foam and removable cover and you have an ultralight compact inflatable that's suitable for backpacking! And ultimate 2 in 1 that doesn't feel like a sacrifice.
