The Sierra Designs DriDown Pillow is an innovative backpacking pillow that includes three components: a pillow top made with 600 fill DriDown water-resistant down, a removable synthetic insert and a convenient stuff sack.
Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel, and despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one inherent weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, but the DriDown featured in the DriDown Pillow performs differently. Employing a unique, innovative polymer application, DriDown actually creates a hydrophobic finish on each individual plume of down. This treatment results in insulation that stays dry up to 10 times longer and dries 33% faster, should it become wet, than untreated down.
Providing maximum comfort for sleeping in camp, the DriDown Pillow can be used together with its synthetic insert as a complete pillow system, or shave weight by leaving the insert at home and stuffing the pillow top with spare clothing or a towel. The pillow top weighs in at just 2.8 ounces and packs down small in the included stuff sack.

- Really wanted to like this one..
Likes: Liked the idea and the design of the pillow.
Dislikes: Went flat with just the weight of my head. made for a few uncomfortable nights.
Likes: Very comfortable pillow and nice materials.
Dislikes: Probably would not use the pillow itself for backpacking due to bulk. The cover is nice to use by iteself for that purpose, but an expensive option if you are primarily going to use only the cover and stuff it with clothes.
