Delivering maximum comfort and warmth for two campers at once, the self-inflating Sea to Summit Comfort Deluxe SI Double Wide Mat is built for year-round camping.
The rectangular pad uses Delta Core Technology to create supportive cushioning, deliver consistent warmth, and make inflation efficient. Triangular cutaways within the open-cell foam core of the 79” x 51” x 4” mattress add structural support while cutting down on bulk and enabling the mattress to roll up more compactly when not in use. Thicker foam on top of the cutaways helps to insulate bodies from ambient air. The 30D stretch-knit to fabric feels cozy next to skin and the 75D base fabric adds durability. The pad’s 5.2 R-value makes it suitable for use in all 4 season.
A stand-out feature on Sea to Summit pads is the low-profile multi-function valve. A one-way design allows you to blow up the pad without any fuss and an internal button lets you make micro adjustments to firmness. A larger port beneath the top portion of the valve makes deflation quick and easy. Additionally, by setting flush to the surface of the pad, the valve also cuts down on potential warranty issues.

Real Customer Reviews
- Comfortable, a bit too large for tent
Likes: Thick and comfortable, like the Exped MegaMat.
Dislikes: Wish this came slightly smaller, just barely fit in our Half Dome 2+ tent during a dry run indoors, but it was too tight a fit to be wrestling it around in the dirt for actual use. I didn’t care for the pump sack either for inflation. Sadly this is going back. Keeping the (slightly smaller) MegaMat instead, which also had easier valves, easier stuff sack, and better foot pump.
- Warm and comfy
Likes: Very plush, warm, and cozy. Easy and quick to inflate. Worth it!!
Dislikes: Takes a little time and effort to deflate and roll small enough to go back into the transport bag. But thats part of having a 4" self inflating deluxe mattress.
Likes: As long as this pad never gets annoying leaks over time, like all of my other pads have gotten, I will be extremely happy with it. So far I have used it for a one week trip with my wife and we both loved it. Very soft. Stretchy fabric on the top. Inflates easily. Deflates easily but does take some practice to get it all the way rolled up with no air.
Dislikes: The reversible valves works well but are a little finicky. when flipping around or releasing a little air you have to be careful to get it right.
- Outstanding mat
Likes: After searching extensively for a car camping sleeping pad comparable to the Exped MegaMat Duo 10, I decided to take a chance on the Sea to Summit Comfort Deluxe SI Double. It was an excellent choice.
After the initial inflation, the mat self inflates quickly, with a few extra breaths to top it off based on you preference. Its specs are virtually identical to the MegaMat and - after seeing its competitor in store - it appears to be constructed of materials of comparable quality. It's more comfortable than my everyday mattress, and my wife agrees. With similar quality, a sticker price $80 less than the alternative and immediate availability, it was a no brainer. Backcountry Edge's fast shipping and outstanding customer service were a bonus.
Dislikes: As with many other self-inflated mats, it can take a little effort to get the air out and fit it back in the stuff sack. The reversible one-way valves make this considerably easier than it otherwise would be.
