A classic Salewa offering for technical hiking trekking or Via Ferrata routes the Men’s Mountain Trainer Mid GTX boot offers flexibility fit waterproof protection and supportiveness with cushioning for all-day-long comfort.
A highly abrasion-resistant suede upper provides excellent durability and structural support. A waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX membrane keeps feet dry and comfortable. A 360-degree rubber rand encases the base of the boot to bolster protection against rocks and roots.
Salewa's 3F system creates an anatomical fit that works with the asymmetry of the human foot and results in less movement in the heel of the boot less rubbing and less potential for blisters. A flexible collar moves independently from the upper and enables your ankle to flex comfortably and maintain an agile stride. A “Y”-shaped wire connection spreads the lacing three-dimensionally to hug the entire foot and better control the movement of the heel.
Underfoot an ergonomic Blight midsole offers cushioning and enhances comfort. The supportive yet flexible platform delivers underfoot protection for descending or climbing rocky ridges. A unique multi-fit footbed provides modularity for a roomier or closer overall fit. A Vibram WTC rubber outer sole provides the ideal mixture of durability and grip for rock scrambling or alpine routes.

Real Customer Reviews
- Overall: great
Likes: No blisters after using them fresh from the box to summit Mt. Shasta. Comfortable. No real complaints.
Dislikes: I was sloshing and glissading back down the mountain and my feet got pretty wet. But that's to be expected when not wearing gaiters, etc.
