A midweight pant constructed of stretch nylon fabric, the Marmot Rockmoore Pant has everyday aesthetics and backcountry functionality. The comfortable pant is abrasion-resistant and also sports a durable water-resistant finish.
For cooler weather scrambles or wintery mountain hikes, the Marmot Rockmoore Pant is a mobile option with some enhanced protection. Let’s take a look at their features.
The materials in the pants are a blue sign approved performance stretch nylon fabric. It is a really stretchy material and it really allows you to move freely and easily. It does have a UPF 50 rating, so it gives you enhanced UV protection. It does have a fleece backing so it gives you some warmth against the skin if you weren’t wearing a base layer. So, again, very comfortable pants and a very stretchy mobile performance fabric.
Some of the features on the pants include a DWR finish. So it has got some lightweight weather resistance. It is not quite a soft shell fabric, but it does have a little bit of that soft shell feel. So you will get a little bit of extra weather protection from these pants. We do have pockets, kind of the pockets you would expect on some pants, two jean level pockets and two back pockets that have Velcro closures. We also have one thigh pocket on the right hand side, so you can easily store some gear away there.
The fit is really nice on these pants. You have got articulated knees and a gusseted crotch, so you get great freedom of movement. They are not super tight. They are a pretty regular fit. So they really, again, allow you to move freely and easily.
So there you have it. It is the Marmot Rockmoore Pant for those cold weather hikes or those alpine climbs. These are an excellent option that will give you that great mobility.
