Ideal for everything from backpacking to climbing to around town use, the Patagonia Women’s Nano Puff Jacket delivers lightweight, packable warmth featuring a PrimaLoft synthetic insulation that excels in damp and cold conditions.
Lightweight, warm for its weight and extremely easy to wear, the Women's Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket is perfect for a variety of adventures. It is great as a standalone jacket in chilly temperatures when you are just looking for something extra to throw on to keep you nice and warm. The material here is very wind resistant, so it is great on a chilly, windy day, but it is also lightweight enough and low profile enough to wear as part of a layering system, if you are wearing a shell over top of it.
Stand out feature here is the lightweight insulation. It is a very high quality Primaloft 160 gram synthetic insulation. And the thing I love about synthetic is that when ... if they become wet they are going to dry out really quickly and they are very resistant to moisture. So unlike a down jacket that may lose its loft and lose its thermal efficiency if it gets wet, synthetics maintain their thermal efficiency if they are damp or wet. So if you are wearing it all day, if you are going to perspire or if it starts to take on water, you are still going to be nice and safe and warm. And it is going to dry out quickly.
the face fabric here is a 15 denier recycled polyester, so it is very lightweight but it has rip stop in there so it is durable for its weight. You keep the weight of this jacket down. It weighs in right around 11 ounces for the women’s. And you have a durable water repellent finish on the outside of that fabric. So in addition to the synthetic insulation it is going to be resistant to moisture with that shell fabric as well.
The jacket version is extremely easy to wear. You have a full length zipper so you don’t have to pull it up over your head to put it on, easy on and off with that full length zipper. Down here on the hem you do have an adjustment on the hem so you can cinch down the bottom if you want to. On the inside of the jacket you have got one chest pocket. And the jacket is so lightweight and packable that it actually stuffs down into that chest pocket. So you can clip that to a harness if you are wearing this for... as a climbing piece. You can clip it to your backpack, you can throw it in your backpack when you are not wearing it. It is lightweight. And then pull it out when you the temperatures drop, so really nice features there.
You have got two hand level pockets, nice place for chilly hands. And other than that, it is just a really simple design. You have that nice brick pattern here with the stitching so that just adds a great look to it, stretchy cuffs that make it really, really comfortable and then you have a nice collar up here on the top. So you can really just zip that up and protect your neck.
So, overall, this is an extremely comfortable piece. You can wear it in any condition, from downtown to the backcountry, a climbing piece. This is just a really great jacket for a multitude of adventures. It is the Women’s Nano Puff Jacket by Patagonia.
