The Patagonia Women's Down Sweater Hoody utilizes ethically sourced featherweight 800 fill power goose down to deliver reliable warmth for everything from backpacking to climbing to wear around town. A durable water repellent finish offers weather-resistance.

Due to the high loft and compressibility of the 800 fill-power European goose down, the Down Sweater Hoody can be packed into its own interior, stretch mesh stuff-sack pocket (with reinforced carabiner clip-in loop) and pulled from your pack or a climbing harness when you need extra warmth. Patagonia's Traceable Down is verified by an independent third-party organization to be ethically sourced from geese that are not live-plucked or used in foie gras production.

An ultra-lightweight and windproof 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell with high abrasion resistance is treated with Patagonia’s Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish for increased weather resistance. A fully insulated and helmet-compatible hood, bound elastic cuffs and a drawcord hem seal in warmth and keep drafts out. Two zippered hand warmer pockets with water resistant zippers are ready to warm chilly hands.

With a regular fit that accommodates layering, the Patagonia Women's Down Sweater Hoody is available in a variety of color and size options.

The perfect down jacket
Reviewed by Raquel L. - October 29, 2018

Likes: This is an extraordinary piece. You feel the high quality immediately. The fit is great. I am 5’2” and 103#. I ordered the XS and I’m extremely glad I did as I still have a little room to layer underneath. I was afraid about getting the model with the hoody as they tend to be bulky sometimes but this is just perfect. The length of the sleeves is great: not too long, not too short. I like the fact that the back is slightly larger than the front. In summary, I highly recommend this product to anyone. As always, Backcountry Edge never disappoints with their awesome service!

Like wearing a warm fluffy cloud
Reviewed by Regina H. - October 18, 2018

Likes: I bought this jacket for myself and the men’s version for my husband before a backpacking trip. We wanted something that could pack down small and keep us warm at night when the sun went down. We both sized up one size larger to allow for some room to layer if needed (for reference, I’m 5’7”, 135lb, and I’m not the slimmest in the midsection, so I tend to size up for items I don’t want skin tight). The size Med is perfect and doesn’t look bulky at all. It’s plenty warm on its own for high 50 degree weather, and I can easily fit a hoodie under there if it gets chillier (haven’t tested it out yet in colder weather, however). I like that I can wear it under my shell jackets or coats without adding much bulk as well. My husband loves his jacket so much he practically lived in his for a month when he got it—both of our jackets still look like new several months later. Excited for the cool fall weather so I can start wearing this jacket regularly again.

Toasty warm

Likes: Soft, cozy, comfortable, warm. Does what is created to do well.

Dislikes: Naturally loses down over time.

Excellent Jacket
Reviewed by Rebecca D. - November 22, 2015

Likes: Its a very warm coat. The jacket is also designed to accommodate for broad shoulders which allows for full range of motion.

Dislikes: Some of the stitching that holds the down in place is loose. This has resulted in the stitching on the sleeve to catch on the teeth of the zipper of the pocket.
