The durable, lightweight Outdoor Research Women’s Aspire Jacket keeps out wet weather and offers maximum breathability. Fully-taped GORE-TEX Paclite fabric takes the wear-and-tear of the trail while lightweight yet durable construction make this jacket a good option for year round, foul weather protection.

Outdoor Research's innovative TorsoFlo side zips provide superior ventilation. Two-way zippers run from the bicep to the hem of the jacket and allow built-up heat to escape. This feature allows for poncho-style ventilation when your backpack's waistbelt passes underneath the jacket so that you maintain maneuverability without jeopardizing the jacket's waterproof protection or your own comfort.

Other features of the Women’s Aspire Jacket include a dual-pull adjustable hood, a storm flap over the front zipper, a zippered sleeve pocket and two zippered hand pockets. The left hand pocket doubles as a stuff sack. The standard fit of this jacket leaves room for lightweight insulation layers in cold weather or simple base layers in warmer temperatures.

The Outdoor Research Women’s Aspire Jacket is available in a variety of size and color options.

At last the tech rain jacket I’ve been searching for
Reviewed by Karen L - November 19, 2018

Likes: Great quality OR rain jacket with thoughtful features that make sense. I needed to replace a high end shell that didn’t do the job. After trying and returning several, OR’s Aspire meets all my wants and needs in a technical rain jacket. Lightweight but not overly minimalist, well constructed, waterproof and also well vented, fabric not too noisy and stiff, able to accommodate an insulated mid layer for warmth, packs down small and light. I’m 5’ 100 lbs so XS fit my petite frame with some but not too much extra room. This one checks all the boxes with flying colors. Bonus points to Backcountry Edge for the great price, helpful videos, and excellent shipping and return.

Dislikes: No dislikes. OR backs up all its products, but I’m concerned OR may discontinue this jacket so I’m considering getting another as backup just in case.

Amazing jacket worth every penny

Likes: This jacket is amazing hiked three days of comstant rain in vermont and never had any issues. Really liked the full side zip vents and adjustable hood. This replaced my patagonia rain jacket and was a wise decision.

Dislikes: Only con is i wish had an interior pocket.

Excellent All-Year Jacket
Reviewed by Jennie L. - October 10, 2017

Likes: The fabric feels durable, yet soft. I haven't tried it outdoors yet, but there are plenty of pockets and notable zippers that are handy.

Dislikes: I have not seen anything I dislike yet about this jacket. The grey is very refreshing.
