Offering fully-featured 3-season protection, the durable, lightweight Outdoor Research Men's Foray Jacket keeps out wet weather and offers maximum breathability. Fully-taped, GORE-TEX Paclite fabric takes the wear-and-tear of the trail while lightweight yet durable construction make this jacket a good option for year round, foul weather protection.
Outdoor Research's innovative TorsoFlo side zips provide superior ventilation. Two-way zippers run from the bicep to the hem of the jacket and allow built-up heat to escape. This feature allows for poncho-style ventilation when your backpack's waistbelt passes underneath the jacket so that you maintain maneuverability without jeopardizing the jacket's waterproof protection or your own comfort.
Other features of the Men's Foray Jacket include a dual-pull adjustable hood, a storm flap over the front zipper, a zippered external chest pocket and two zippered hand pockets. The left hand pocket doubles as a stuff sack. The standard fit of this jacket leaves room for lightweight insulation layers in cold weather or simple base layers in warmer temperatures.
The Outdoor Research Men's Foray Jacket is available in a variety of size and color options.

Real Customer Reviews
- Fantastic product!
Likes: This jacket has tons of features. If you like ventilation then oh boy this is the jacket for you. pit zips go all the way down to the waist. 2 way zipper in the front. Has plenty of room to layer underneath no looser fit, no need to size up. Gore-tex speaks for itself.
Dislikes: The 2 side pocket zippers are not water-proof. otherwise a perfect jacket
- Great rain protection
Likes: This coat is a little beefier than my Marmot Precip, but it sheds the rain very well. I like the zip flap feature for addition ventilation and ease to attach hip belt.
Dislikes: Zippers are a little sticky.
- Seems to be a great jacket
Likes: I love the side zips on this. I returned this because I found another jacket that was cheaper. From a functional stanpoint I think this jacket would have fit my needs really well. The side zips would have worked well with a backpack.
Dislikes: I was nervous about the face fabric not holding up to brush. I need it to be able to do that.
- Solid built Jacket with good ventilation.
Likes: Great tough build and nice ventilation. Love the Brown ( coyote ) color.
Dislikes: No inside pockets. This is very useful in the winter to keep things like water or electronics warm.
- Good quality
Likes: Comfortable fabric. Doesn’t feel like wearing a raincoat.
Keeps you comfortable and dry.
Dislikes: Zipper is difficult to use.
- Nice jacket
Likes: Hello, I’ve had this Jacket for around a month now, I’ve been using it mostly for backpacking, it does breathe better than a lot of the other jackets on the market for the same price. Very durable and the full length pit zips on the side are very functional and I enjoy the option of the poncho. Also keeps you dry in down heavy rain.
Dislikes: The material is a little stuffy
- Great quality
Likes: Weight and look for any occasion
Dislikes: None so far
- Worth the weight
Likes: More durable and versatile than my previous jacket. Also takes less space than I expected.
Dislikes: None so far.
- Great Jacket
Likes: Gore Tex coating works great, kept me dry during heavy rain. Water would just roll off the jacket and any beads of water from mist etc would dry off in just a few minutes.
Packs down small, would highly recommend this jacket
Dislikes: Because there's a double zipper pull on the front to allow it to be half zipped up or down its a little tricky to get it all the way in to start zipping up the jacket. Just a minor thing that I got used to.
- OR Foray
Likes: Color very vibrant
The fit isn't as boxy as a lot of rain jackets
Gortex feels very nice.
Dislikes: None at the moment, it isn't the cheapest jacket you can find.
