The Outdoor Research Airpurge Dry Compression Sack sports an innovative air permeable/waterproof fabric band that ensures maximum compression by allowing excess air to escape, but still maintains waterproof protection for your gear.
Designed for those times where you need to really cinch down your gear while keeping it watertight and protected from the elements, the Outdoor Research Airpurge Dry Compression Sack is here to help. Featuring durable and waterproof materials, this is designed to help really cinch down your gear and comes in a multitude of sizes for any types of items. Let’s take a closer look.
The materials on this dry bag are really durable, but also lightweight. We have got a 70 D rip stop on the main body of the bag. It is all this grey that you see here. And then there is a 30 D air permeable membrane right here. So this is still a waterproof area, but it is a little bit lighter weight and this is where it is going to allow that air to escape so you can really compress that gear. We have a waterproof roll top closure. So on the top here it is just like a traditional dry bag or stuff sack. You just roll that down and then buckle it together and that will keep everything nice and sealed very tightly and then we have got these four compression straps on the exterior. And they are going to allow you to really pull and cinch down the load and really compress it as much as you possibly can.
We have also got a nice little daisy chain attachment here so you can use that to lash extra gear to the bag or lash the bag to another item. And a nice durable carry handle on the bottom of the dry sack as well, so hold that guy like that. Got some nice additional exterior features on the dry bag, so some really nice construction on the Airpurge Dry Bag.
As I mentioned earlier, this bag does come in multiple sizes. It comes in a 10, a 15 and a 20 liter version. The one I have got here is a 15 liter and I have probably got four, five or maybe even six jackets stuffed in here and they are compressed very nicely. You know, so it does a good job at really compressing gear and compressing it well.
So there you have it. With a fully waterproof and seam taped construction, the Outdoor Research Airpurge Dry Compression Sack is a great option for when you really need to cinch down your gear and keep it dry.
