Providing customized fit and heavy load-hauling capability, the Osprey Xenith 105 is a workhorse option for extended backpacking trips. Convenient access points, innovative features and 6400+ cubic inches of storage capacity result in a pack built for the backcountry.
Constantly striving to enhance comfort and performance, Osprey has equipped the pack with a ground-breaking suspension system. A peripheral 4mm LightWire aluminum frame works in tandem with a mesh/foam backpanel, and a dual density BioForm CM foam harness to transfer weight to your hips, maximize stability, and reduce heat build-up between your back and the pack itself. Further ensuring a proper fit, the revolutionary BioForm CM hipbelt utilizes an ErgoPull closure that draws tension along the top and the bottom of the belt with split support wings. A sliding sternum strap and load-lifter straps allow you to fine-tune fit with on-the-go adjustments.
Each of three available sizes of the backpack offers torso adjustability. The Medium accommodates torso lengths ranging from 18"-21", the Large accommodates torso lengths ranging from 20"-23", and the Xlarge is designed for 22"-25" torso lengths. The BioForm CM harness and hipbelt maximize performance, fit, and comfort.
The huge main packbag has space to match the pack's suspension and enable you to comfortably carry 50-80 pounds of gear! It has full top access, but can also be reached via zippered vertical side access points. A lower sleeping bag compartment has a wide zippered mouth for easy packing and unpacking. Twin vertical storage pockets on the face of the pack have weather-resistant zippers and aid in the organization of gear. A large front pocket utilizes welded stretch woven fabric to serve as a convenient storage spot for layers of clothing or other gear. Multiple compression straps enable you cinch down your pack to keep contents safely and securely in place. These same straps also serve as lash points for additional gear.
Other features include integrated trekking pole loops, ice tool loops with tie-offs, removable sleeping pad straps, zippered hipbelt pockets and stretch side water bottle pockets. The pack's top lid is removable and can be used as a fully-functional summit pack or daypack. It even has its own integrated shoulder straps, sternum strap, reservoir sleeve, and organizational features. An external sleeve tucked behind the backpanel makes the pack hydration system compatible (system sold separately) without decreasing internal capacity.

Real Customer Reviews
- A great option for large, bulky, and heavy gear
Likes: I bought this pack as an option for large loads for winter camping. I had a mid size pack and needed something in this range. I have the XL 113L model.
-very large capacity
-can fit my St. Croix travel fishing rod w/case inside the pack
-can fit a small forest axe or a boy's axe due inside of the pack if desired
-the tektite grey color scheme contains some green and is good for the forest
-I like the detachable lid option
Dislikes: -none so far
- Great Family Backpack
Likes: I have 3 small kids and I wanted to get them into backpacking. My old pack was over 20 years old so it was time for an upgrade. I first bought a Osprey Aether 75, but it was barely big enough and it is only rated up to 50lbs I found out after a week long trip with my two boys. I returned that pack and go this one, the 105 2018 version. Not only is it bigger and better, it is rated for more weight, feels better on trail and seems higher quality. the bioform hip pads are nicer too. The new day pack topper is really useful for day hikes from base camp. Great pack.
Dislikes: Maybe that it only comes in one color, but I don't mind.
- Great Pack
Likes: I love this pack. It’s stores a ton and feels good to carry even when loaded with gear. I used it for 3 day hike/camping trip and I felt great hauling this bad boy about 45 miles over 3 days and carried so much stuff that I felt like I lived like a king.
