Ideal for mountain biking or fast-and-light day hiking, the sleek Osprey Raptor 14 hydration pack combines the carrying comfort, storage capacity (854 cu in), and organizational features needed for technical performance.
Unlike traditional hydration bladders, the Raptor 14's 3-Liter reservoir has welded baffles that minimize "barreling" by maintaining a more anatomical shape. Nestled within its own dedicated, externally-accessed compartment, the reservoir is locked securely in place, reducing the sloshing effect that many hydration pack users have come to accept as a necessary evil. The reservoir’s wide mouth is easily accessed through a patented, leakproof sliding closure that further adds speed and efficiency to refills that kids can even do themselves. An integrated PourShield makes the reservoir easy to fill and empty. An anti-microbial treatment prevents mold and bacteria from building up inside the reservoir.
Hydration packs are also notorious for falling short on fit and comfort, but this is not the case with the Raptor 14. A molded foam backpanel provides a contoured, comfortable fit and a ventilated design promotes airflow and reduces heat build-up between the pack and your body. The padded BioStretch harness and hipbelt offer a secure fit that mirrors your movements during aerobic activities. An adjustable and elastic sternum strap further ensures a stable fit and its magnetic hose attachment strategically secures the hydration system's bite valve. Side compression straps allow you to cinch down the packbag to keep contents safely in place and aid in load control.
The Raptor 14 has a storage capacity of 854 cubic inches. A zippered, lined top pocket is perfect for sunglasses or other valuables and a stretch mesh front pocket allows quick access to extra layers or other gear. A zippered lower compartment is dedicated to storing a removable, roll-up tool pouch (included). Zippered pockets on the hipbelt offer quick-and-easy access to energy gels, valuables and other small items. Light attachment points and reflective graphics add a measure of safety and an integrated LidLock clip securely stows a helmet without reducing storage capacity.

Real Customer Reviews
- Smartly Designed
Likes: This is a very well designed pack for MTB riding with pockets in all the right places and zippers & pulls that are top notch. It can carry all my tools including a LeZyne Micro Floor Drive plus extra clothes for layering, etc. The build is really solid. Osprey's take on hose management works better than any I've seen with a zippered guide for the hose as it comes out of the pack plus an ingenious magnetic clip to secure the bite valve (but be careful if you've got a camera near the magnet). This will work for day hikes too although when going for long hikes with lots of water/weight, I prefer my dedicated hiking daypack which is taller so positions its hip belt better for load bearing (the Raptor is a short pack so the hip belt doesn't sit on my hips like a backpack normally would).
Dislikes: Out of the box, Osprey's bladder/hose has more of that plastic taste than Platypus Big Zip bladders. But after following their recommended procedure for removing the taste by freezing with lemon juice (they posted it on YouTube) it's fine now.
- Great hydration pack
Likes: Durable and lots of pockets for storage. I also like the magnet that holds the drinking straw end in place right where you need it.
- Fantastic for biking

- This pack is awesome! The perfect size to fit everything I need for quick day trips! Love the size and the feel of this bag. And the bladder is huge for the size of this pack. All around an awesome addition to anyone's gear!
