Unlike some traditional hydration bladders, the lightweight, innovative Osprey Hydraulics Reservoir has a HydroStatic backerplate that gives it structure and improves the fit of the reservoir in your pack.
A combination of supportive and pliable materials grants the Hydraulics Reservoir superior strength, and the durable TPU construction is both BPA and PVC-free. The reservoir’s wide mouth is easily accessed through a patented, leakproof sliding closure that further adds speed and efficiency to refills . An integrated PourShield makes the reservoir easy to fill and empty.
An anti-microbial treatment prevents mold and bacteria from building up inside the reservoir.
Available in 2-Liter and 3-Liter size options, the Osprey Hydraulics Reservoir includes a detachable drinking tube and a magnetic bite valve.

Real Customer Reviews
- Great Durable Design
Likes: Well designed for Osprey packs. I like the magnetic bite valve holder allows for easy access and you can readily position it wherever on the various pack straps on my Aether AG 70.
Dislikes: Took awhile to figure out how to completely dry it out after cleaning for storing in between trips. It is designed to stay closed which is great but makes it difficult to properly clean and dry.
- Overall great reservoir
Likes: Love the detachable drinking tube (making it no need to remove the whole tube). Also like the magnetic bite valve.
Dislikes: I also have the Gregory 3D Hydro Reservoir. Love the 3D form. If this Osprey reservoir had that same function, it would have been perfect. Makes it easier to hang dry.
- Works great
Likes: no issues at all.
- Ice cold
Dislikes: Heavier then lt
- Great with Atmos 50 Xenith 105
Likes: Great addition to my backpack setup and 3L is great capacity for long hikes. However i am in PNW and we have lots of water resources around trails and never needed to fill it full. Also maintains its shape so doesnt interfere with the backpack capacity.
Dislikes: I have a Platypus bottle and sawyer filter and it is a little bit awkward to filter the water and fill the reservoir. Especially if you need to fill 3lt.
