Unlike some traditional hydration bladders, the lightweight, innovative Osprey Hydraulics Reservoir has a HydroStatic backerplate that gives it structure and improves the fit of the reservoir in your pack.

A combination of supportive and pliable materials grants the Hydraulics Reservoir superior strength, and the durable TPU construction is both BPA and PVC-free. The reservoir’s wide mouth is easily accessed through a patented, leakproof sliding closure that further adds speed and efficiency to refills . An integrated PourShield makes the reservoir easy to fill and empty.

An anti-microbial treatment prevents mold and bacteria from building up inside the reservoir.

Available in 2-Liter and 3-Liter size options, the Osprey Hydraulics Reservoir includes a detachable drinking tube and a magnetic bite valve.

  • Easy to handle when filling and loading into a pack
  • Perfect for external access hydration sleeves in loaded packs
  • Contoured HydroStatic backer plate preserves pack fit and comfort
  • Magnetic bite valve attaches to sternum strap

Needs cap included
Reviewed by Dexter K. - September 24, 2018

Likes: Stepped on this bladder on accident when full of water, didn't burst or damage it at all.

Dislikes: Does not come with a cap

Good solid bladder
Reviewed by Eric - September 13, 2018

Likes: Large opening makes filling, pouring out into cook pot or cleaning easy. This model has the quick disconnect so you can fill the bladder off a water filter pump without removing from your pack. The stiff plastic backer makes it easier to stuff down inside a loaded pack. I haven't had any issues with leaking, there is a definitive spot where the top should fold over to prevent leaks. Twist on/off bite valve is a nice touch.

Dislikes: None at this time.

Would only ever use Osprey Reservoirs
Reviewed by MV - September 3, 2018

Likes: The folding top is amazing, allows for quick and easy filling and dumping of water at the end of a trek. I bought one of these over a year ago for a trek through the Grand Canyon and it has held up great so far. Picked up a second one for my day pack. Ospreys quality is really top notch

Dislikes: I wish it had a removable bite valve cover included. I have not had any issues with leaking but I'm always careful to make sure nothing is resting on top of the valve if my packs sitting in the car or something.

Reservoir

Likes: My wife and I both have Osprey packs. I have old school canteens, which I love. She bought this reservoir and we went on a 6 mile training hike. I was fussing with my canteens and asking her to grab them for me so I wouldn't have to take my pack off. I was breathing heavy and just watching her lightly sip from her magnet held bladder line, whenever she wanted. I was sold right then. Bought my own the following payday.

Dislikes: None

No leaks, no fuss
Reviewed by Peregrino - August 9, 2018

Likes: Hard back makes it easier to shove down the back of a full pack. Let’s face it, nothing is perfect, but this helps a lot. I like the wide mouth too for filling; no fussing with sideways screw caps. I’ve taken it on about five or six day hikes now and it’s never leaked.

Dislikes: None.

Looks reliable

Likes: Love the top opening for cleaning purpose. The plastic looks high quality and I expect good reliability from years to come.

Dislikes: A bit heavier than I like.

Just what I wanted
Reviewed by Cord H. - August 6, 2018

Likes: Great. Very easy to use, easy to clean. The folding top with slider is so convenient. I read reviews before purchasing and was worried about the loop for attaching it to your pack, but it seems that any problems that existed before have been resolved - works on my pack because it has a snap buckle I can put through the loop (Osprey Stratos 24)

Dislikes: Has a plasticky taste at first, but went away by following ospreys instruction (lemon juice with water then freeze).

Smart Design
Reviewed by Rick B. - July 31, 2018

Likes: I like the quick-connect. That made it a lot easier to refill the reservoir. I like the wide-mouth opening for cleaning and filling. I like the light-weight durable material.

Dislikes: None.
