DetailsUnlike traditional hydration bladders, the Osprey Hydraulics Reservoir has its own direct-welded "backpanel" that minimizes "barreling" by maintaining a more anatomical shape. A combination of supportive and pliable materials grants the Hydraulics Reservoir superior strength and the Metallocene PE construction is both BPA- and PVC-fee. An anti-microbial treatment prevents mold and bacteria from building up inside the reservoir.Available in 3-Liter and 2-Liter size options, the Osprey Hydraulics Reservoir includes a drinking tube, a magnetic bite valve with a corresponding sternum strap magnet and a built-in 180-degree pivoting shut-off valve.

- Capacity of the water
Likes: Capacity of the water is so enough to hike or bike.
Dislikes: Before you choose the size of reservior, match your purpose. In my case, 3liter is too much to ride a bike
- good hs
Likes: the back panel is the most interesting thing on this HS, it has to be seen if it will be beneficial or not.
Dislikes: none at this point
Likes: I like the panel on the back of the bladder. This takes away from the collapse effect of most every other bladder on the market.
Dislikes: I like to older version of this bladder better however, this bladder is still a top quality bladder. I did not like that they put the hanging loop around the top of the bladder. This makes drying out the bladder harder but is not a deal breaker.
Likes: First time I've used a hydration system as i didn't think I'd like sucking out of a tube. Boy was i wrong. You drink more water with these things and staying hydrated is the name of the game. Otherwise you have to stop to drink and you never want to stop on the trail just for a drink. The other guys I hike with loved the magnet thing that holds the tube. I was surprised how cool the water stayed inside the pack. Compared to other systems I've seen I like the "firmness" of the Osprey device. I was surprised it could actually hold two liters of water as it didn't expand that much. I now carry the "bladder" and just one 1 liter bottle for reserve.
Dislikes: I'm not sure with all these bladders how you are suppose to clean them. The product said it is treated with antibacterial material but sooner or later mold will grow. I guess some bleach will clean it out.
Likes: Easy to use, doesn't form a big tube when filled with water.
Dislikes: I'd like to be able to remove the drink tube from the bladder for easier cleaning.
Likes: Large opening to pour water into. Easy to open/close cap that does not leak. Great water flow when installed in backpack.
Likes: Great product.
The spine makes this reservoir fit my Gregory Contour 60 like a glove.
Pretty cool magnet feature at the end of the sipper mouthpiece. It easily fits to the backpack shoulder straps and makes accessing the mouthpiece a breeze. No more flimsy mouthpiece as it can be annoying with hand movements and pesty just having it flop around
