Ideal for bike-packing and other active light pursuits, the Osprey Escapist 32 is extremely versatile. Despite weighing less than 2.5 pounds, the Escapist 32 is capable of comfortably carrying loads of up to 30 pounds.
Employing ridge molded foam and a low-profile design, the Escapist 32's AirScape back panel provides flexible support and breathability to combat heat build-up between your back and the pack body. Both the Biostretch ventilated hipbelt and adjustable harness straps are padded with die-cut slotted foam and covered in mesh to keep weight to a minimum. Together they enhance comfort and optimize fit. InsideOut compression straps on the lower sides and upper side-release buckle compression straps allow you to cinch down the Escapist 32 and keep contents safely in place for load control.
Accommodating users of different dimensions, the Escapist 32 is available in two sizes: Small/Medium fits torsos ranging from 16"-20" in length and the Medium/Large size fits torsos that are between 19" and 23" in length. The storage capacity varies based on size, as well: Small/Medium is 1831 cubic inches and Medium/Large is 1953 cubic inches.
Stretch woven pockets on the front and sides of the Escapist 32 offer additional organizational options and keep gear and extra layers close at hand. A small zippered pocket on the Escapist 32's shoulder strap is perfect for snacks, energy gels or electronics. Generously sized zippered pockets on the hipbelt further offer quick and easy access to other gear and trail essentials.
Additional features found on the Escapist 32 include a lower compartment with zip divider, blinker light attachment and an integrated raincover. A lined, exterior compartment makes the Escapist 32 compatible with hydration systems (sold separately) and makes it possible to refill your reservoir without having to access the interior of the pack. An integrated LidLock clip securely stows a helmet without reducing the Escapist 32's storage capacity.

- Good, Not Great
Likes: Breathable. I have had bags that not only make me sweat, but also make me feel like I have a heater on my back. With this Osprey, I still sweat, but it doesn't heat up my back. Osprey warranty. Rain cover.
Dislikes: Zipper quality, strap pocket 2 small for my phone, lack of organization, uncomfortable when worn for even a few hours. Wish lid lock was padded on the bottom. 2 many logos and 2 much reflective. I have had a few Escapist bags, and decided to return this one. I have also tried the 25 liter, and didn't like the front stretchy pocket didn't have the clip closure like on the 32 liter.
- Great multi-purpose pack
Likes: Works wonderfully for hiking, biking, commuting, and traveling. Tons of space. Ventilated backpanel. Rare find: a day pack with padded hipbelt, sternum strap, AND load lifter straps. Bottom compartment can be used as sleeping bag storage or to quarantine dirty clothes/shoes. Adjustable harness makes it easy to fit me or my short-torsoed boyfriend. Reflective elements make it great for bike commuting. Extremely durable/high quality, lightweight, AND comfortable - as I've come to expect from Osprey.
Dislikes: Main compartment is split into top and bottom rather than front and back, which can take some getting used to. When the bottom compartment is full, a 13" laptop is too large to fit in the top pocket.
- Excellent all around Go-To Daypack!
Likes: Even though this pack seems to be marketed to cyclists it is a great go-to daypack for any activity! Love the suspension, organization, separate hydration reservoir and adjustable fit features. This pack can do it all - simply love it
Dislikes: Nothing -
