A long-time favorite among AT thru-hikers and fast-and-light backpackers, the Atmos 50 combines both durability and lightweight performance. A redesigned harness and adjustable hipbelt now provide even better comfort and fit.

Osprey's AirSpeed Suspension system equips the Atmos 50 with weight-carrying efficiency and breathability. A lightweight aluminum frame works in tandem with twin titanium struts and a tensioned backpanel to provide the ultimate in support, weight distribution, flexibility and comfort. A sliding sternum strap and load-lifter straps allow you to fine-tune fit with on-the-go adjustments. Accommodating backpackers of different heights, the Atmos 50 is available in your choice of sizes. The Medium Atmos 50 fits torsos ranging from 18"-20.5" and the Large is designed for torso lengths that exceed 20".

To further ensure that the Atmos 50 fits like a glove, each hipbelt offers integrated adjustability that can extend the "wrap" of the supportive padding. This design allows for customized fit that ensures proper support and range of motion.

Designed to comfortably carry 30-40 pounds of gear, the top-accessed Atmos 50 lends versatility for outings ranging from overnight trips to fast-moving, light-packing extended backpacking trips. The Medium size offers 3051 cubic inches of storage capacity and the Large Atmos 50 has a 3234 cubic inch capacity.

Dual front pockets are accessed through welded weather-resistant zippers. A welded, stretch woven nylon pocket on the front of the pack allows you to stash extra layers or other gear. A pocket located inside the floating lid of the Atmos 50 provides yet another organizational option. Side compression straps help you cinch down your load and also serve as lash points for additional gear. Stretch woven side pockets are the perfect place for stashing water bottles or other smaller items.

Other features found on the Atmos 50 include integrated trekking pole loops and removable straps located in front of the sleeping bag compartment that securely stow sleeping pads. An internal lined sleeve and dual exit ports combine to make the Atmos 50 hydration compatible. Zippered mesh pockets on the hipbelt keep snacks and essential items in easy reach.

Constructed of lightweight, durable 210D high tenacity twill nylon and 100D high tenacity mini-ripstop nylon, the Osprey Atmos 50 is available in your choice of colors.

Likes: Good size for a few days trip. Light, and has lots of pockets.

Dislikes: There is no bottom access to the main body of the pack.

Likes: Fantastic backpack, my boyfriend loved the lightweight versatility of this PAC. Said it would be perfect for traveling and camping

Dislikes: Nothing

Likes: Good size and super comfortable! So far it works well for shorter runs, but if you work small and light, it can support longer treks as well.

Dislikes: None so far!

Likes: This bacpack is very well constructed and should last a long time. Very reasonable weight for a full featured pack. Also once adjusted properly, it is very comfortable.

Dislikes: Nothing.

Likes: I love the Osprey Atmos 50, lightweight, well vented back panel, and probably the best thing I like is the way the shoulder straps are positioned. This pack has lots of useful storage pockets, belt pockets, is well made and my favorite pack for multi day trips of any pack I've ever used.

Dislikes: Nothing

Likes: I bought this pack with high expectations. I've owned several osprey packs over the years. The new Atmos 50 has alot of cool features and the pack is made with the highest standards of craftsmanship. The bottom like fir me was that it just did not fit me the way I had hoped and didn't work for me. I ended up returning this and purchased a different brand pack. Backcountryedge has a great return policy and the transition was very smooth. I ended up giving this pack 4 stars because I think it deserves a high rating, it just didn't work for me.

Dislikes: Fit

Likes: Sturdy, full featured. I love the extra adjustability on the shoulder and waist straps. The webbing across the back really helps to keeps the back sweat to a minimum. This pack has storage out the ying yang. I love it.

Dislikes: Color was not what was pictured, but that is the websites fault, not a problem with the pack.

Likes: Very comfortable & lots of pockets with room for everything.

Dislikes: Nothing

Likes: Great pack with just the right amount of space for shorter treks. The comfort is amazing and so is the breath-ability on my back. The belt pockets are no longer mesh which to me is an improvement.

Dislikes: Pocket for hydration bladder is a bit too wide for my 3L bladder. Wish it had magnet on sternum strap for my Osprey Hydraulics system.
