With its lightweight construction, and stripped-down upper, the Oboz Women’s Aurora trail shoe provides hiking performance in a sleek, athletic profile that’s sure to appeal to trail runners or anyone who isn’t comfortable in a mid-or-high-cut boot.
A single-piece mesh upper with minimal seaming cuts down on hotspots, reduces blisters, and provides maximum breathability. This construction also allows the shoes to be worn “out of the box” without an extended break in period. Synthetic leather midfoot, heel, and toe overlays deliver bolstered protection in high-abrasion areas. A wide toe box gives your foot some roominess where it’s most likely to need it.
Under foot, the shoe’s dual-density EVA foam midsole and nylon shank provide comfortable cushioning, stability, and flexibility. The BFit Essential insole has medium-density EVA foam in both the forefoot and heel. A soft top layer effectively wicks moisture and a heel cup and structured arch improve shock absorption. EVA Super Skin (ESS) forefoot armoring further protects feet from the impact of rocks, roots, and other uneven terrain.
A streamlined rubber outsole keeps weight to a minimum but still delivers durability and aggressive traction.
The Oboz Women’s Aurora trail shoe is available in women’s full and half sizes.
- Midfoot TPU overlay keeps the fit nice and snug whether going up or down
- Lightweight breathable mesh upper keeps your feet dry with maximum air flow
- The aggressive, yet forgiving Hyalite outsole promotes premium trail traction and ground feel, but minimizes overflexion and stone bruising

Real Customer Reviews
- Doesn't live up to the Luna and Sawtooth
Likes: Oboz excellent build and fun colors!
Dislikes: I love my Oboz Luna and Oboz Sawtooth hikers and was hoping for a similar fit in the Aurora trail shoe - snug heal and roomy toe box - in a lighter weight package. These shoes did not have the same hugging heel that makes my other Oboz shoes standouts. For me this is a run-of-the-mill trail runner which doesn't stand out like the amazing Luna and Sawtooth.
- Solid trail running shoe
Likes: Lightweight, breathable, comfortable, and attractive. Who says hiking shoes have to be in a neutral color?
Dislikes: The traction on these shoes isn't as good as my other pair of Oboz hiking shoes, but in this case, I think you sacrifice a bit of ruggedness for a decrease in weight. The toe bed is also a bit too roomy for my narrow feet and I found my foot sliding around a bit as I ran. Wearing thicker socks seemed to alleviate this problem somewhat. I did size up a half size, so that could have been part of the problem.
