Equipped with confident traction, ample cushioning, and lightweight but durable synthetic construction, the Oboz Men’s Sawtooth Low trail shoe is a highly-breathable option for performance-demanding hikers who prefer a low cut shoe to a boot.
The hybrid construction of Nubuck leather and high-tenacity fabrics makes the upper of the Sawtooth Low shoe extremely durable, abrasion-resistant, and breathable. A 3D molded heel counter keeps your heel securely and comfortably held in place while a wide toe box gives your foot some roominess where it’s most likely to need it.
Under foot, the shoe’s dual-density EVA foam and nylon shank provide comfortable cushioning, flexibility, and stability. A high-performance insole is a cut above what you’ll find in most boots, providing plush EVA foam under the heel and forefoot, a shock-absorbing and stability-enhancing heel cup and arch support, and moisture-wicking materials.
The rubber outsole’s aggressive, mud-shedding tread and toothy traction-enhancing side lugs team up to provide confident footing on-trail or off.
The Oboz Men’s Sawtooth Low trail shoe is available in men’s full and half sizes.

Real Customer Reviews
- Not bad, not bad at all.
Likes: I like that the soles are more rigid than most of the other footwear I've had. I broke the sesamoid bone in my left foot a while back and these shoes make walking much less uncomfortable than most shoes. Initially, I bought these to replace my beloved Merrell Chameleons that I had been gluing back together for the last 5 years because the newer iterations are junk, from my experience.
Dislikes: My only dislike is the laces. They kept coming undone so I replaced them with elastic laces. Problem solved.
- great shoes
Likes: fit, comfort
- Ankle Biter
Likes: Quality construction, fits true to size, cradles foot well in the insole.
Very comfortable with the exception of where the shoe digs into the anklebone.
Dislikes: I tried to break them in. Wore them for a 4 mile hike. Wore them around the house for a day and then when I went out for my walk on day two I only made it about a block and came home to change into my Merrill MOABs. I would have rated these boots 5 stars except that they are un-wearable for me.
- thank you on the fast shipping
Likes: First time for me to buy shoes online without trying them on. They fix perfect. Worn a few weeks now, mostly for work and happy to report my feet feel great. Thanks again on your fast shipping
- 2nd favorite oboz shoe
Likes: -lots of eyelets on each side of the shoe tongue, means it's a highly adjustable fit
Dislikes: -My favorite Oboz low hiker is the Firebrand II. The Sawtooth has a very similar feel to me, except that the arch support hits me in the wrong place. I didn't have this problem with the Firebrand II nor the Bridger low nor the Traverse low.
- Great boot, but a bit heavy
Likes: The boot has sturdy construction, yet it's still pretty breathable. The wide size, though, is the real reason to get these. The also look better in person than in photos. The elevated heel makes for comfortable walking, once you get used to being a couple of inches taller.
Dislikes: It's not quite wide enough in some parts, which has led to some pinch points with thicker socks. It is very much a boot, which makes everyday activities a bit difficult that don't involve walking; like driving, sitting, etc. Let's face it, though, for those of us with wide feet, we don't have much to choose from anyway, so this works for hiking and probably working, but if I'm doing literally anything else I'm wearing a different shoe.
- solid Performer in a cool package
Likes: - Excellent bottom of feet protection from rough terrains due to best-in-class Lugs design
- Short Break-in period If any
- Very comfortable insoles
- Allows breathing to facilitate cooling of feet and mitigate blistering, etc.
- Cool Looking
Dislikes: - Grip degrades notably on wet surfaces...this is not exclusive to Oboz, all Hiking shoes/boots I have owned over the years exhibit similar degradation..this is why I maintain a 5 STAR rating for the Sawtooth, relatively speaking in its price range.
- Too high for my anklebone
Likes: Weight, good wide toe box and lacing works well.
Dislikes: Irritated my anklebone even before using. Sorry to return.
- Nice shoes
Likes: Support and comfort
Dislikes: The insole wears out too fast
- Love Oboz
Likes: This is my second pair of Oboz. I am a woman who prefers a man’s shoe. Oboz run narrower so with socks they fit my foot great. I always order half size up as I feel they run a bit short. So comfortable right out of the box.
Dislikes: None really.
