Description

Details

With its compressibility and ability to provide excellent insulation, down fill has long been used in high performance sleeping bags and apparel. The weakness of down fill is its susceptibility to the ravages of moisture and dampness. Once down becomes wet, it quickly loses its ability to provide insulation. Nikwax Down Proof is designed to address that weakness and ensure the high performance you expect.

Suitable for use on all down outerwear and gear, Down Proof protects insulation from the effects of moisture, prolonging the life of sleeping bags and apparel. By adding water repellency and increasing breathability, Down Proof enhances the performance of down-filled clothes and sleeping bags in wet weather and climates, allowing you to stay warm and dry.

Environmentally-friendly and non-hazardous, Down Proof is easy to apply and can be used in standard washing machines. The 10 oz (300ml) bottle of Down Proof is adequate to treat 2 clothing items or 1 adult sleeping bag.

Likes: Ease of use. Put it in front loading wash. It does the rest. Sweet. I have been in many 100% humidity conditions and have not noticed any deficiencies in my down feathers since using this product.

Dislikes: not everyone has front loading wash machine and it seemed to stain the exterior of my ventera down comforter.
