An excellent option for side sleeping backpackers or anyone who wants more ergonomic room and comfort in a sleeping bag, the NEMO Women's Jam 15 Degree bag utilizes a unique "Spoon Shape" design to provide adjustable 3-season comfort and weight savings.
Down insulation has long been renowned for its compressible properties and efficiency in delivering an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. The shortcoming of down has been its susceptibility to the effects of moisture, losing much of its performance qualities when wet or damp. The Women's Jam 15's premium 800-fill Nikwax Hydrophobic down insulation provides water-repellency that keeps the insulation dry longer and allows it to dry faster if it should become wet. More importantly, it maintains thermal efficiency even if it becomes wet, a quality that could traditionally only be found in heavier, less-compressible synthetic fills. The bag's lightweight 20D ripstop nylon shell has a DWR treatment to further protect the insulation from the elements.
NEMO’s innovative Spoon Shape contours give you extra space where it matters most. The cut starts wide in the shoulders, tapers in at the hips for comfort and warmth, and flares back out through the knees, letting you bend and shift naturally throughout the night. Another unique feature is NEMO's "Thermo Gills", zippered panels that enable you to vent body heat at your core without having to unzip the entire bag. This temperature regulation feature allows the bag to remain comfortable in varying temperatures. A waterproof/breathable footbox protects the bag further from the condensation build up that frequents the inside of tent walls.
Other comfort features include a fully-insulated hood and NEMO’s soft, down-filled Blanket Fold design. This insulated panel at the collar of the bag mimics home bedding and can be tucked around the face on cold nights or lay flat when it’s not needed. A contoured side zipper and down-insulated draft tube keep cold air out of the bag's interior. Drawcord adjustments around the face can be tightened or loosened as needed. A small zippered pocket provides a place to safely stash valuables.
Available in your choice of Regular (fits to 5’ 6") and Long (6’ 0") lengths, the NEMO Women's Jam 15 Degree sleeping bag includes a stuff sack and a storage sack.

Real Customer Reviews
- Very comfortable
Likes: Love the spoon shape design, gives the ability to turn side-to-side without tying yourself in a knot. Love the "blanket" top the most, gives you options for heat and comfort.
Dislikes: My only criticism is that the regular should be an inch or two longer. Feels like for the average woman, that the regular is an inch or two too short in length, and the tall is just way too big. Couldn't hurt to make the regular just a few inches longer.
- Nice bag
Likes: Like the sleeve for inserting Nemo pillow, the blanket around neck area, and haven't had need to open the vents yet, but I think it will be a nice feature.
Dislikes: I had cold feet sleeping in 23 degree weather. Probably just me, since I tend to have cold feet when sleeping. Also, I have short legs (not petite, just short) and sleep on my side, so my feet were above the extra insulated foot area even thought I purchased the shortest length.
- Great sleeping bag
Likes: Purchased it to pair with the male riff 15 deg sleeping bag. Sleeps very warm. Lots of space around the hips and knees for side sleeping.
Dislikes: Shoulder space is a bit tight for stomach sleeping. So top quarter of bag needs to be unzipped to allow space to spread arms/elbows
- Warm, snuggly, lightweight
Likes: This bag is both lightweight and warm. The thermogills definitely work--I had them open the first two nights by mistake and was comfortable, though on the cool side. For the third night, I closed them and was roasting in mid-40s temperatures. Highly recommend! The position of the pillow stuff compartment is perfect, too.
Dislikes: It's a little slippery inside and out. I kept sliding down on my sleeping pad.
- Luxurious, but not my bag
Likes: I love the draft collar that you can tuck in around your neck and shoulders like a quilt and the material is very nice. Packs down small in a compression sack (this bag does not come with a true compression sack, just a smaller carrying sack along with a storage bag).
Dislikes: Overall the bag was just too spacious for me. I found that a roomier mummy shape was more to my liking and provided plenty of room for me as a side sleeper. Ultimately I went with the Big Agnes Roxy Ann which also has a pad sleeve which has been life changing.
