The innovative NEMO Tensor is a compact and lightweight inflatable sleeping pad. Providing a 3" sleeping base while weighing less than 12 ounces (for the 20” sizes), the Tensor is ready-made for 3-Season backpacking.
The Spaceframe baffles (die-cut trusses of low-stretch fabric) eliminate the springiness found in most pads. This creates a more stable sleep surface, better for rolling side-to-side and for keeping your elbows off the ground.
Unlike the limited number of vertical baffles employed by most traditional inflatable pads, the Tensor utilizes undulating lateral air baffles to offer the most comfort. A metalized film layer provides a reflective barrier that actually directs heat back to your body and cold air back to the ground. The increased number of baffles helps to increase stability and avoid the "inflatable raft" feeling caused by over-inflated vertical baffles. The inflatable construction provides a full 3" thick support base. Ultra-lightweight, high-tenacity materials offer durability while maintaining an incredibly light packed weight.
The NEMO Tensor inflatable pad is available in 20 Small Mummy (48" x 20"), 20 Regular (72" x 20"), 20 Regular Mummy (72” x 20”), and 25 Long (76" x 25") size options.

Real Customer Reviews
- Very comfortable!!!!!
Likes: It is an extremely comfortable pad, my previous pad was a thermarest prolite and I love that pad, I didn't think things could get more comfortable but they can!
It's unbelievably light
It isn't noisy, the amount of noise the thermarest neoair makes really deterred me
It comes with a repair kit which includes enough materials for a few patches
It is really stable some pads of this design feel like a pool floaty and you feel like you're about to roll off, but not with this one
Dislikes: The materials are really thin, and I am very worried about tearing them
The valve placement is a little awkward, it sticks right out of where your head should go.
- as advertised
Likes: it is quiet, light weight and very packable
Dislikes: I wish the air intake was more standard so you can hook a hand pump to it to fill it up.
- Therma rest has some serious competition
Likes: rectangle shape, thickness, quick release tab for quick deflation, locking air valve, horizontal baffles. Room mate got the thermarest neo air and i think this is more comfortable in comparison
Dislikes: none yet
Likes: Light.. wide
Dislikes: Takes a lot to inflate.. not as high as others
- Light, Comfortable, and Quiet!
Likes: I have the rectangular long version of this pad. It is very comfortable. I love the feel of the material. I tested it last night in the blue ridge mountains and temperatures dropped to 45. It performed well, slightly cool but not cold, tolerable. I dont think temps any lower than 40 would be tolerable for me, but this is my "Summer" pad and it will fulfill it's intended purpose perfectly. Deflating it is a breeze and quick, almost instantaneous. When you roll it up is almost feels like paper because it's so light and thin. There is a bit of a crinkle to it but I didn't notice any appreciable noise when tossing around at night. It packs up TINY. In regards to value for the UL backpacker I dont you can beat the Tensor or it's insulated cousin.
Dislikes: The only complaint I can think of is the inflation nozzle, it sticks out quit a bit. And the fact that nemo doesn't offer a pump sack. Although, I was told the pump sack that comes with my planned "Winter" pad (Thermarest XTherm) will work to pump the nemo up. If that's the case I'll take the Tensor in the XTherm case so I can avoid introducing moisture from my breath into the pad.
- My Best Night of Sleep in the Backcountry
Likes: The pad is supportive, sturdy and quiet and works great for a side sleeper like myself. I was very comfortable the entire night.
Dislikes: The valve is a little non-traditional in that you have to push it down and twist to close.
