Weighing just under a pound and packing down as small as a 1 liter water bottle, the NEMO Fillo Luxury travel pillow is a great piece to include on your next travel excursion or backpacking trip. A combination of memory foam and inflatable air tubes makes the Fillo Luxury more comfortable than traditional travel and backpacking pillows.
The removable and machine washable brushed face fabric on the Fillo Luxury provides next-to-skin comfort. An integrated, elastic cording beneath the Fillo Luxury allows you to bolster the depth of the pillow with extra layers of clothing. This is an especially functional feature for side-sleepers.
Available in your choice of colors, the NEMO Fillo Luxury pillow has an integrated stuff sack.

- Great pillow
Likes: I like that it’s going to make camping more comfortable. I think I wil take it with me on traveling trips. Some pillows in hotels are horrible.
Dislikes: I don’t like that the pillow is hard to put in the stuff sack. Wish the sack was bigger than it is.
- So comfortable
Likes: So comfortable and plush. Has made my nights so much more enjoyable and restful. Don’t take your sleeping for granted, get this pillow. I own both the regular and luxury and you can’t go wrong with either.
Dislikes: Doesn’t pack down as much as the regular Nemo fillo
- Great pillow for a good nights rest
Likes: Getting a good nights' rest in the backcountry is essential to having a great time and is huge in making it through a long hike. The NEMO Fillo Luxury is a great solution to providing what your neck and head need to accomplish this. It inflates with a few breaths, did not lose any air overnight, and compresses back down to the size of about a pop can. The outer material is a soft microfiber feeling texture which is pleasant and not slippery. It adds a few extra ounces to the pack, but is a no-brainer decision for me to bring along. Integrated stuff sack is a nice touch.
Dislikes: Slightly heavy for what it is, but the memory foam is a great trade-off.
- Fairly compact and very comfortable
Likes: Took this out on a weekend trip for the first time recently and it didn't disappoint. It is not the lightest backpacking pillow out there but it may be the most comfortable. The memory foam around the air bladder removes that sleeping-on-a-balloon feel most ultralight pillows have and it still packs down fairly small. Tip: Use a "buff" as a pillowcase to save yourself from having to wash the removable outer lining. It adds just a couple ounces and fits within the Fillo stuffsack.
Dislikes: The bungee is nice if you want to add volume to the pillow, but it makes it very uncomfortable to flip the pillow and sleep on that side. Bungee is removable though.
- more comfortable than inflatables
Likes: the foam layer adds a lot of softness & comfort to the inflatable layer (and is smooth and not bumpy offcut chunks like other camping pillows). it's a great compromise to give a firm unyielding air pillow some cushion & soft responsiveness. it still wasn't soft enough for my needs, so i sleep with the cocoon feather pillow on top. finally a magic combination that helps prevent a stiff neck.
Dislikes: the luxury version is, of course, wider and is not as easy to fit within a mummy sleeping bag.
- Fantastic Pillow
Likes: Packs down small in its attached stuff sack.
Very, very comfortable and supportive for a side sleeper.
- It is in the name.... Luxury
Likes: Most comfortable back-country pillow I have ever used. You can use the cords on the back to give it more height with extra clothes.
Dislikes: Being a mostly Ultralight backpacker this is not the smallest or lightest pillow but for someone who has difficulty sleeping in general it is a necessity.
- Best Backpacking Pillow Used Yet
Likes: I started with a Sea to Summit inflatable pillow - which is better than nothing, but the material isn't comfortable against your skin and the feel is hard to dial in. I then moved to a Therm-a-Rest Compressible pillow which is a move up on the texture, but it never decompresses enough to do a great job. So the search continued. I recently upgraded to a Nemo bag and pad, so I thought'd I give the pillow a try as well. Best gear choice in a long time. While it is heavier than the other pillows I've tried, to me it's worth every single oz. The texture is great against your skin, and it's so easy to inflate to a comfortable level, with the foam center and air combo this really brings the sleeping in your own bed feel into the back country. I won't camp without this again.
Dislikes: Some UL backpackers wouldn't dream of packing this, but to me the trade off of a great nights sleep is well, well worth it.
- Would buy again
Likes: Soft. Comfortable. Compact when deflated.
I use it for sleeping and also sitting on cold and/or hard ground when glassing (hunting).
Dislikes: Price. A little heavier than necessary.
- Decent Pillow
Likes: Great quality
Dislikes: Prefer compressed pillow verses air pillow- personal preference though
