A versatile and feature-rich option for backpacking or camping the NEMO Dagger 2P effectively balances weight performance and roominess. Dual doors and vestibules internal storage and a voluminous interior maximize livability.

Measuring 90” x 50” the tent has a 31 square foot floor area and offers a peak height of 42”. Two large side-entry doors create convenient access and the Dagger 2P’s two vestibules offer a combined 23 square feet of exterior space to stow gear. An internal storage pocket utilizes light-diffusing fabric to turn a headlamp (not included) into a lantern capable of illuminating the interior of the tent.

A hubbed-pole design creates a unique easy-set-up architecture and an additional ridge pole gives the sidewalls excellent verticality which frees up elbow room inside the tent. This construction also better maintains overhead height so that you have headroom throughout the tent instead of just in the very center.

A raised waterproof bathtub-style floor enhances performance in poor weather and also cuts down on wear-and-tear. Fully seam taped construction and the PU-coated Nylon rainfly further bolster weather protection. A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to offer additional protection against standing water rocks and roots.

Each NEMO Dagger 2P tent includes a stuff sack guyout cord stakes and a repair kit. An innovative “dual-stage” design on the stuff sack makes it convenient to split up the components of the tent to share the carry weight between multiple backpackers.

Love this tent
Reviewed by Thomas B. - September 2, 2018

Likes: Right away, I was impressed with this tent. Sets up easily and takes down easily as well. Seems to be built very well. Packed away very nice in my osprey atmos 65 backpack. Tent poles are easy to use as well. Recently put it to test on a backpacking trip in the rocky mountains. I had plenty of room to sleep and keep my gear in as well. A couple of nights we had strong winds and heavy rain. I would occasionally check my tent walls for any signs of moisture through the night, but the rainfly did an amazing job of keeping everything dry. I would highly recommend this tent. Looking forward to many more adventures with this tent being part of my gear. It is also an eye catcher when set up.

Dislikes: None really, although the provided tent stakes could be a little stronger.

Spacious Lightweight 2-Person Tent
Reviewed by Steffan S. - August 21, 2018

Likes: Surprising amount of headroom for such a light tent. Good length - I'm 6'2" and still have room to put some items at my feet without my head touching the walls. Vestibules are plenty large to contain my pack and boots. The headlamp pouches and reflective hits on the exterior are nice touches.

I was a bit concerned about the fly not completely covering the ends of the tent but it held up just fine in 2 consecutive days of Sierra thunderstorms. We had a good amount of runoff flowing under the tent and the floor never even got a hint of dampness.

This is the fastest tent to put up that I've owned.

Dislikes: Tent is a little narrow. My fiancee and I do both fit but our sleeping pads touch and our shoulders aren't far apart. I wouldn't want share this tent with someone I didn't REALLY like.

The vestibule openings are a little small for a taller person. I always feel like I'm going to catch on it and rip the fly, though I haven't done so yet. Have to get used to crouching down more than you might expect.

Happy with this selection
Reviewed by Patricia J. - August 3, 2018

Likes: Light, compact. Only used it once so far but it did well in a downpour. True, someone noted that you can't put it up while it's raining without getting the inside wet.

Dislikes: None after one use.

Reviewed by Andre A. - June 29, 2018

Likes: First impression, the tent is very spacious. Setup was fairly easy. Mesh all the way around. Tent material feels more durable comparable to my other tents. Lots of room for a single hiker even as I use a 25" rectangular sleeping pad. Might be too tight for two 25" pads though. Overall I am very happy other than my dislike below.

Dislikes: The only thing I didn't like about this tent is the Jake's foot/feet. its a piece of plastic that centralizes all the attachment points from tent body to tent fly. Field work may be more of a pain if it breaks or gets lost. A simple grommet style similar to the MSR NX2 would've been better for simplicity. Only time will tell.

Good and lightweight tent
Reviewed by Estelle - June 18, 2018

Likes: Pretty lightweight and seems robustly built with double Y-poles and a lot of bindings.

Dislikes: Setting this tent up takes a longer time than other tents I've ever used. Floor space is slightly smaller than other 2P tents, but others weigh more of course.

Lightweight, innovative, and functional

Dislikes: Stakes are just ok

Great tent

Dislikes: None

Excellent Design
Reviewed by Brandon A. - June 11, 2018

Likes: -Corners are designed to easily attach the footprint (sold seperately) and rainfly. Beats the design of my last tent where you just put a stake through all the loops. Poles also attached very easily with the "Jake's foot" inserts
-The 4 pockets built-in might be enough, but I added the gear shelf just to be sure.
-Easy to configure the rain fly with doors rolled up
-Just enough privacy and good visibility through the mesh
-Plenty of headroom and legroom for 6' camper and space just enough space for 2-people.
-Staking out the rain fly in two places (as the tent is designed for) left lots of space for gear underneath

Dislikes: -Poles don't fold up quite as compact as a more basic tent without the 3-way setup. Guess this is the price you pay for that headroom.
-Only 4 lines included to tie out the rainfly. I ended up using them to tie out the tent instead of the fly when I was camping on a wood platform.

great tent, easy to set up
Reviewed by Nicole S. - June 8, 2018

Likes: Easy to set up and seems durable. I didn't need the instructions and the tent basically set itself up. There is enough room for 2 people, and room enough for your gear if you have the rain fly on.

Dislikes: was a little heavier than I had anticipated, but is still really light

Easy setup and lots of room
Reviewed by Dean C. - May 3, 2018

Likes: Easy setup - was able to set this tent up for the first time in about 5 minutes. Much more room than my Brooks Mountaineering Foray 2p. Interior pockets are also a big plus.

Dislikes: The tent poles have a large diameter and take up about twice the space as similar aluminum poles. This could be a deal breaker if my pack was any smaller. This is why I gave a 4 rating.
