Real Customer Reviews
- It’s a footprint
Likes: If you like the security and peace of mind of a footprint you’ll like this one, especially since it has a reasonable list price. Enables the Hubba Hubba NX to pitch without the tent body, plus protects the tent floor when you have it.
- Does it’s job.
Likes: Not only protects tent, but makes much it more versatile. Packs up nicely into its own pocket.
Dislikes: Wish it came with the tent.
- Insurance for the tent
Likes: We slept on some questionable grounds out of necessity and this footprint provided the extra level of comfort of the rocks not poking through the tent.
The ability to set up the rain fly and the footprint together without the actual tent was also a plus. It essentially turns this tent into a 2-for-1. If it didn't have this feature, I would have done what I normally do--just cut a piece of tarp/Tyvex to fit the footprint.
- Does what it's supposed to do, but not my favorite
Likes: Offers decent protection
Solid aluminum ring design allows hubba hubba to be setup with this and rainfly only for simple shelter
Dislikes: Self containing pocket is attached so it flops around when deployed
- Necessary if you have any MSR Hubba tents
Likes: Protects the floor of the tent pretty well, and it allows the Hubba Hubba NX to be setup in an ultra-light design for when sleeping in areas with little weather.
Dislikes: It can be a bit tricky to fold it back up into the attached bag.
It is also expensive and MSR should have just included it with the tent!
- It’s ok
- First Impressions
Likes: - Easy to setup with the tent
- Packs really compact
- Felt stong enough to protect the tent floor.
Dislikes: Nothing as of now, will keep you posted.
- perfect fit
Likes: Fits perfect
built in storage bag
- A must have, in my opinion!
Likes: It weighs nothing but adds that layer of protection to keep your investment from damage.
Dislikes: I believe this should be a part of the intial tent, not an additional purchase...
- A light yet durable footprint
Likes: It’s nice and light (lighter than my backpack tarp), it’s durable, and it folds into its own pocket if needed.
Dislikes: It didn’t come with the tent, had to be a separate purchase. But worth it in the long run to add longevity to the (pricey) tent.
