Likes: Have to have these for those of us with no butts. Wife was shocked i was getting a fanny pack but with the straps it is essentially a small pack. For short hikes you can carry all you need.

Dislikes: Pricey but you have to have them.

Likes: Makes carrying a larger load a lot easier.

Dislikes: The straps are a little expensive and they should come with Mountainsmith bags.

Likes: Well made and a must if you are carrying some weight in the waist pack.

Dislikes: Nothing.

Likes: This pack comes with a shoulder strap for use like a messenger back and its hip-belt tucks into the pack itself. All these modes are great for light loads and daily use, but when I took this bag trekking through the mountains in Northern Thailand the strappettes saved my back. It turned 20lbs of gear into nothing.

Dislikes: If you have the already amazing mountainsmith day TLS, or any other one I suppose, there is nothing bad about these.

Likes: These take your mountainsmith lumbar pack from a great accessory to a stand alone wonder. I use them for travel, bike commuting, and most importantly to keep the pack on my back while I'm fly fishing...

Dislikes: it took a little while to figure out the best routing options, but it stays in place and never squeaks like the first generation did...

Likes: The perfect addition to an already awesome lumbar pack. The stale do a great job of distributing the weight when it is fully loaded with all of the things needed for our family of six.

Dislikes: Nothing

Likes: Makes heavy loads in my Mountainsmith Day Lumbar pack much more comfortable.

Dislikes: No dislikes

Likes: I bought this with my Mountainsmith Tour pack, I use 1 liter bottles and without the straps I think it's almost to much for the pack. I also carry my gps on the straps. I have used them on 10 plus hikes with no problems.

Dislikes: The instruction to install the straps are very bad, if you hike a lot with other packs you will have no problems to install them, but I used the internet and found a few sites that explain the correct way to install, make sure you install them before you go on a hike.

Likes: Make carrying the heaver loads as comfortable as any backpack. They also secure the bag so it will not shift while riding my bike!

Dislikes: Nothing
