Ideal for all-day adventuring even in inclement weather, the Mountain Hardwear Scrambler RT 35 Outdry technical-oriented rucksack has a fully waterproof main compartment. By bonding a durable waterproof membrane directly to a durable 400D nylon shell fabric, OutDry equips the pack with guaranteed watertight construction.

The pack's barebones HardWave suspension system conforms closely to the contours of your back to deliver movement-mirroring carry while enabling the pack to weigh in at 2 pounds. Great pack (just not for me)
Reviewed by Martin M. - November 25, 2016

Likes: Awesome water resistance- I used it swimming in the Narrows (it also kinda floats for a short time) , rain, snow and it still kept the inside dry.
Mesh - loved the outside mesh pocket to hold wet gear or for quick access. The back pocket and two water bottle pouches were awesome and I found myself stuffing anything I needed quickly in them because they're very secure
Durability - the fabric this is made of is seriously tough, its been slid, scrapped over slick rock and volcanic rock in Iceland and looks new. (a little discolored and stained but zero tears or any damage)
Weight - when empty this thing is really light weight and "disappears" on your back when loaded properly

Overall this is a great pack that really lives up to its name and is a great option if it fits your criteria and are on the shorter or smaller torso size. On a more accurate scale (if you get the sizing right) this pack gets 4.8 because it does what is does so well!

Dislikes: Support - this is partially due to sizing problem and lack of adjustability, but the hip belt was too short and the shoulder straps could use a little more padding if they keep the "minimal" hip belts.
Sizing - This was definitely my biggest complaint and resulted in me not keeping the pack. While my torso/waist fit inside the sizing range you cant adjust the sizing at all. The pack can fit, but when loaded with any weight above 5 lbs you cant adjust the straps for it to be comfortable. On a couple longer, colder days the pack was pretty well filled and the hip belt was more mid-abdomen/ belly button belt to get the shoulder straps correct. This created a lot of friction on my back and shoulders resulting in some abrasions in places I haven't got with any other pack.
(I'm 6 feet and a runner/ slim build for reference)
