The Mountain Hardwear Men’s Stretchdown DS Jacket is an aesthetic departure from traditional baffled insulated pieces, employing quilted channels beneath highly stretchable fabric to deliver lightweight warmth and movement-mirroring fit. Treated down insulation ensures all-weather performance.
Dynamic-Stretch knit construction allows the jacket to fit comfortably and move with you during cold weather climbs or snowsports. Premium 800-fill Nikwax Hydrophobic Down insulation retains its insulating qualities even if it damp or wet conditions. Welded channel construction increases thermal efficiency and ensures consistent warmth by trapping body heat and keeping insulation from migrating.
Other features include elastic cuffs, an adjustable hem, two zippered hand warmer pockets, a zippered chest pocket, and two interior drop pockets.
Available in your choice of size and color options, the Mountain Hardwear Men’s StretchDown DS Jacket has an active fit that allows you to wear a hardshell over top of it but only allows baselayers or low-profile midlayers to be worn comfortably beneath it.

Real Customer Reviews
- One the best winter jackets, the material and quality as advertised. I just wish I bought the one with a hood.
Likes: Warmth and quality
Dislikes: No hood
- Perfect for Chicago winters
Likes: Light weight, slim fitting and warm. This jacket is perfect for commuting in Chicago and to wear anywhere. It’s plenty warm with just a t-shirt or thermal. Add a sweater underneath, and and i’m finding i’m comfortable in the mid-20s with a breeze.
Dislikes: Hand pockets could be better with a soft or fleecy lining
