Equipped with wind-and-weather resistance and dexterity for alpine pursuits, Outdoor Research Men’s Stormsensor Gloves also incorporate touch-screen compatibility to enable you to operate electronics without having to expose your hands to the elements.
Designed with touch screen compatible technology, the Outdoor Research Men’s Stormsensor Gloves ads a techie twist to a high performance, technical, alpine glove. Let’s take a closer look.
Taking a look at the materials in play on the gloves, we have got durable, abrasion resistant synthetic materials on the backs of the hands here. Highly weather resistant, but not totally waterproof, so keep that in mind when looking into the Stormsensor Gloves. On the palms we do have a nice durable and supple leather. So you have got really good grip and durability and it is just a nice, tactile feeling. So you have got excellent grip, excellent movement with the gloves while maintaining a really durable feel with that weather resistant leather palm.
Some other features we have going on with the glove, we take a look down toward the cuff. We do have an undercuff construction here. So it is really seamlessly integrates with a jacket like I have got here, really nice easy transition from jacket to glove. So good undercuff construction. You have got a glove clip to keep both gloves clipped together in the event that you are not wearing them. To enhance the fit you have got this hook and loop closure, really lets you lock it down and make sure it stays nice and snug and secure so it is not coming off unwontedly. We do have a pull loop that is integrated on the inside of the glove. So you can really yank that on to get a nice snug and proper fit. And, again, underneath we have got this nice kind of elastic band to, again, enhance the fit, keep the glove on nice and secure. It has got really nice features that enhance the fit of the glove and give it a nice seamless integration with a jacket.
On the inside we do have a nice fleece lining, so it gives you a little bit of warmth, a little bit of moisture wicking and moisture management in there, but, again, not a weatherproof glove, just weather resistant, so it is highly breathable and allows that warm air to escape pretty easily.
As I mentioned in the name, the fingertips, the index finger and the thumb on each glove is touch screen compatible. So I do have a phone here to show that. You can really see that it very easily goes up and down on the phone here. It makes it a nice, you know, easy access to your cell phone, your tablet or anything you may want to use while you are out on the slopes, up on the mountain, if you just want to take a photo with your phone, anything like that. It makes it really easy to do with these gloves being touch screen compatible. So you don’t have to worry about taking the gloves off and putting them back on or anything like that.
To enhance the fit, these gloves do have a precurved construction. So that just makes it even easier to manipulate the fingers and move the gloves in the event that you are gripping ice axes, gripping a mountaineering axe or anything of that sort, so less fatigue on the hands, less, you know, makes you less tired when you are moving around in the mountains.
And there you have it, a durable weather resistant and rugged technical alpine glove with innovative touch screen technology. The Outdoor Research Men’s Stormsensor Gloves are a great option.
