Fully waterproof, breathable and durable enough for the trail, the Marmot Women's PreCip Jacket is an excellent lightweight option for hikers and backpackers seeking reliable protection from wet or windy weather. Offering fully-featured 3-season protection, the durable Women's Precip Jacket keeps out rain and wind and offers maximum breathability

Marmot's Precip Technology offers a waterproof/breathable coating that has been reinforced with ceramic particles for added durability. Dry Touch comfort feels smooth and silky against the skin and doesn't stick to your arms in warmer temperatures, keeping you dry and comfortable. This durable fabric takes the wear-and-tear of wearing a pack and offers drop shoulder seams to eliminate chafing. Pit zips and two, mesh front pockets allow for increased ventilation. A 3-way adjustable hood with a stiffened brim lets you fine tune the fit when the weather gets nasty and rolls away when you don't need it.

Other features of the Women's Precip Jacket include a double storm flap over the front zipper, two zippered, mesh hand pockets, Velcro adjustable cuffs, an elastic draw cord hem, and a DriClime lined chin guard for comfort. The Women's Precip Jacket packs into one of the hand pockets for easy stowing when the weather is nice.

Available in a variety of size and color options, the Marmot Women's Precip Jacket offers a semi-fitted cut that layers well over light to medium weight fleece, sweaters or base layers.

Likes: This is my new favorite coat. I love the color and it does a great job in the rain. I ordered one size larger to wear over my warmer jacket for long camping trips, but it has been a staple for every day use since I bought it.

Dislikes: I like everything.

Likes: This jacket is lightweight and sheds water well. The sleeves are the perfect length (I'm 5'5 and I purchased an XS) for my smaller frame. An excellent value for the price.

Dislikes: Nothing.

Likes: color, style

Dislikes: fit-prefer looser style in order to wear light fleece underneath, sleeves were a bit long, and it made a bit too much noise

Likes: Great product. Comfortable, and wears well with my backpack. Very happy.

Dislikes: nothing

Likes: I purchased this jacket to fit over a textile motorcycle jacket with shoulder, back and elbow armor. The jacket was definitely waterproof even in a 34 degree rain along the ALCAN.

Dislikes: No dislikes.

Likes: I bought this for my wife since her other rain shell was 10 years old. Even though she is not familiar with all the tech features of the jacket, she wears it all the time as a basic shell. I plan to take her on a hike soon to show her all the additional features. The Tahoe Blue color also looks great. Trim and technical fit, and also packs away into own pocket.

Dislikes: While the mesh pockets are really nice for ventilation while wearing, they make it a little more of a challenge when packing into itself. Jacket material is a little heavier and stiffer than the competition (MH Epic, Pata Torrentshell), ultimately making it feel less comfortable.

Likes: My wife and I purchased these jackets for our trip to Alaska in August and we were not disappointed.

Our priorities: A jacket that was breathable, lightweight, and waterproof. It exceeded our expectations and was the perfect solution for our trip since it rained almost every day!

Dislikes: Jacket doesn't pack into it's own pocket.
