Real Customer Reviews
- Good Water Protection
Likes: - Very lightweight
- Durable - withstood glissading down the Muir Snowfield on Mt. Rainier
Dislikes: - Not quite baggy enough / wide enough ankles to fit mountaineering boots
- Not great for warmer weather - didn't seem too breathable and sort of stuffy
- Drawstring holes on the waist had some tears during the first few uses while tightening - didn't impede use, just probably a part that should have been reinforced.
In the future I'll be getting full side-zip rain pants. I don't recommend these if you intend on wearing them with crampons - quite a process to put them on and take them off on the mountain.
- Great Fit
Likes: I’m 6’1” and the fit of the precip pants in men’s large reg fits me perfect. I debated getting the long and glad I didn’t. Fit is perfect over jeans/hiking pants with boots.
Dislikes: Fabric may be a little thin but to be expected at this price point.
- As expected very water repellent but thin material
Likes: Very water repellent
Dislikes: Thin material
- Good pant
Likes: My husband is quite picky for his gear but it meets all his requirements. Waterproof, breathable, two zipped pockets, not too expensive. Great product.
Dislikes: Nothing for now.
- Excellent wind and waterproof protection
Likes: 1. Very breathable and good ventilation
2. Awesome wind protection / use the these for bikepacking and touring
3. Stayed dry while riding in thunder storms
Dislikes: Really haven't found anything I don't like about these pants as of yet.
- Great wind and rain protection
Likes: Side zips that go up about 12 inches each leg are nice when trying to pull these over multiple under layers. Comfortable and go on easy.
Dislikes: Made the mistake of sitting a on rock and making a small tear in the butt.
- Keeps you dry
Likes: Fit is good, and has kept me super dry in "gully washers" as well as days when it rains all day long.
Backcountry Edge's lengendary service is awesome too!
- Great rain pants! Best I found for the price
Likes: I like the material. They are comfortable and fit well.
Dislikes: Don't like that the zipper only goes to the knee. Would rather have a full length zipper.
- Waterproof pants
Likes: I like that these pants are comfortable and they're waterproof even walking through Wet Brush and their durable they didn't rip.
Dislikes: I would like it if they had some gray.
- So good so far
Likes: The marmot precip pants have met my needs thus far. Although I have not used them in a torrential down pour, they have worked great in snow, heavy fog, light rain, and as a wind barrier. I am 6'4", 190lbs, and a large fits me nicely. The buttons and zippers at the bottoms of the legs allow for them to be easily put on and removed over shoes. Sized well enough for myself to fit over additional layers. Comfortable. The zippered pockets are nice as well.
Dislikes: I cannot speak on how breathable they are yet. I think there are probably lighter rain pants out there, but these seem durable enough for the weight.
