The lightweight, affordably priced Marmot NanoWave 35 Degree sleeping bag is full-featured, roomy and comfortable for multi-season camping and backpacking. It’s also highly compressible and packs down small; perfect for when space is at a premium.
The light weight and compressible Marmot Nanowave 35 Degree Sleeping Bag is going to appeal to backpackers, campers and travelers who are looking for an affordable synthetic sleeping bag that is going to be great in mild temperatures.
The stand out feature of this bag is how light weight and compressible it is. Marmot includes a compression stuff sack. So this adds a lot of value to an already affordable sleeping bag.
Marmot uses spira-fill synthetic insulation which is just a high quality synthetic insulation that is highly compressible. And the thing I love about synthetic sleeping bags is that if they become wet or are subject to moisture, they dry out quickly and they also retain their thermal efficiency even if they become wet.
This bag is a mummy shape, but it is cut a little bit more like a semi rectangular sleeping bag so you do have a little bit more girth, a little bit more room in the feet, unlike traditional mummy sleeping bags that really cut down and kind of taper in at the bottom. This is going to offer a little bit more sprawling comfort.
Starting up at the hood, like a mummy sleeping bag you do have a nicely baffled hood here. You have draw cords around the top and around the bottom of the hood. So you can either cinch down just the top or just the bottom if you want to hold in that heat from your core. You have got a full length zipper here that goes most of the way down to the bottom of this sleeping bag and in mild temperatures or on warmer summer nights it is really easy to vent this sleeping bag, because you have got a two way zipper. So you can vent down at the bottom. You can get a leg out or something like that, really vent there. You can also vent from up at the top. I can see this also being a nice travel sleeping bag for someone. You can open this up and sprawl it out almost like a blanket. So you can use this sleeping bag in a couple of different ways, but, you know, other than that, you have got some other features here. You have a durable piece of material behind the zipper so that helps to prevent snags. If the bag does get snagged a little bit, you do have that durable material there so it is not going to damage any of the fabric. There is a draft tube behind the zipper so you don't have unwanted cold air coming through the zipper. And because this is a synthetic bag, you have got really even insulation distribution. So really even heat there. You don’t have unwanted shifting of the insulation.
And this bag comes in two sizes, regular and long. Regular fits up to six feet and long is up to six feet six inches. So you have sprawling comfort there. And with the pack size you can really compress this down, make it into a small package when space is at a premium. And all in all the weight is really good. It is under two and a half pounds for, you know, for both sizes. So it is an excellent option for traveling, camping, backpacking and you are going to just have a really compressible, great bag for the backcountry.
It is the Marmot Nanowave 35 Degree Sleeping Bag.
