The best-selling Marmot Minimalist Jacket offers reliable weather protection for year-round use. Lightweight, durable construction confidently delivers all-season waterproof/breathable performance.
The recycled polyester GORE-TEX Paclite fabric has a softer "hand" than traditional hard shell fabrics, doesn't skimp on weather-proofness or durability, and allows the jacket to weigh in less than 15 ounces! Fully taped seams further ensure that you stay dry. Integrated pit zips enable you to dump excess heat with jeopardizing protection. A fully-adjustable hood extends protective coverage and Velcro-closure cuffs and an elastic drawcord hem let you dial in fit. Marmot's patented Angel-Wing Movement design gives you broad range of motion, so you have free use of your arms without any concern of the jacket riding up.
Other features include zippered hand pockets, a storm-flap that protects the full-length zipper, and a comfortable DriClime-lined chin guard.
Available in your choice of size and color options, the Marmot Minimalist Jacket has a regular fit that anticipates baselayers and midlayers being worn beneath it.

Real Customer Reviews
- Just what I was looking for
2. Multiple adjustments
3. Waterproof / works as an awesome outer shell in a multi-layer set up
4. Totally for year round use, bike packing/bike touring in the spring thru fall and snowshoeing/ cross country skiing in the winter
Dislikes: Really isn't anything I don't like so far.
- Seems To Be A Great Buy
Likes: To be clear I haven't used this in the rain. I ended up returning it for another option. This jacket seemed to have a great balance of fit, durability, and function. At first glance it seems to just be like the rest but when you put it on you can tell how well made it is. It's comes in at a great weight (just as advertised). My favorite things were that it fit well and was comfortable and the face fabric seemed really durable.
Dislikes: I traded it in, partially since some of the reviews mentioned that it leaked.
- Good Value!
Likes: The Marmot Minimalist Jacket represents sensible cost to functionality in a Goretex Jacket. There are many Companies producing this type of Outdoor Wear at very high prices and there are those whom are willing to pay without giving it a second thought, ' Power to the Consumer '. For the rest of Us, however, there's nothing wrong a Good Value in things We like to purchase, and a Good Goretex Jacket is no exception. There are definitely higher performance Products out there, but this one suits My needs just fine.
Dislikes: Not worth mentioning.
