A versatile option for backpackers, hikers, travelers and other fast-and-light devotees, the Marmot Kompressor serves double duty as a compression stuff sack and a bare bones day pack.
The Kompressor stuffs inside its lid pocket when not in use, so you can easily store it in a full size back pack or travel bag for use during quick day hikes or fast and light summit attempts. A removable foam back panel gives some structure to this minimal day pack or can be left at home for an even lighter day pack. Full body, lightweight shoulder straps with Airmesh and an adjustable sternum strap improve comfort and fit without adding unnecessary weight. Three compression straps allow you to secure a load inside the Kompressor or compress down bulky items like a sleeping bag or extra clothing when used as a compression stuff sack.
Other minimal, yet necessary, features include an ice-axe attachment, light clip attachment point, small daisy chain and a hydration sleeve.

Likes: What a great idea for an ultra-light day pack. It weighs 10 ounces. When you remove the closed cell foam back sheet you can shave off a little more weight and use it as a stuff sack in a larger pack. I plan to use this on an extended backpacking trip so I have utility pack for slack-packing or shopping trips into town.
