Named for its innovative, encircling overhead support pole, the Marmot Halo 4P offers 64 square feet of interior space for base camping or family camping. When elbow room and overhead height are a priority, the Halo 4P offers standout performance.
In addition to its cavernous interior, the Halo 4P includes integrated vestibules that offer 24 square feet of sheltered storage space. Large doors provide convenient access from either end of the tent. Interior pockets offer an additional storage option.
DAC Press Fit aluminum poles lend the Halo 4P sturdy, freestanding support. A unique pole design combines two sections to form a hoop that encircles the entire top of the Halo 4P, helping to pull the walls of the tent taut and vertical, increasing the overall peak height and creating additional sturdy support for the rainfly. NOTE: Upon initial use, the poles that give the tent its "halo" name will bend slightly and even when collapsed the poles will no longer be perfectly straight. This is by design and is not indicative of a defect or any lack of structural integrity.
Ground level side vents, an integrated fly vent and extensive mesh on the walls and ceiling provide the Halo 4P with ventilation and combat condensation. The weatherproof floor and rainfly combine to protect the interior of the Halo 4P from the elements.
A compatible, custom-fit footprint, sold separately, can be used to further protect the floor of the Marmot Halo 4P from sharp objects, mud and ground water.

Real Customer Reviews
- Good solid tent
Likes: Stood up to wind - only 10-15 mph on the first trip
Dislikes: long reach to unzip the door on the fly when inside the tent; tough to do without touching the tent
Likes: This is my second Marmot Halo tent and I am thrilled to add it to my collection. This tent is very easy to set up and it is awesome to be able to see all the stars with the open design of this tent.
Dislikes: Absolutely nothing!
Likes: Amazing tent! My only other tent is a circa mid-90s Mountain Hardware Glacier 2-man tent. What a huge difference in size! I bought this tent mainly for me and my 6yo cub scout. Like most tents (people rating - 1), I suspect that three people would sleep comfortably. Love that it has two big doors and complete view of the sky at night. Spent the first night in 40 degree southern weather and the fly was soaked with condensation, but the tent was completely dry. Although I didn't use them much, all the storage pockets are appreciated. The net pocket to hold the doors are great so I don't have to roll and clip them or let them hit the wet ground. 15 minutes setup time by myself inc. fly
Dislikes: No complaints at all other than I have no idea how the two of us could ever stay in my 2-man tent on a backpacking trip! Loved being able to throw gear all over the extra floor space. May have to get a 3-man for hiking. The reflective accents are very helpful at night when surrounded by other tents. The color is a little goofy, but I'll take it in the hot south over a dark colored tent for summer camping. Let me also add that Backcountry Edge is amazing. First purchase from them and everything was delivered quickly and safely. Will definitely do business with you guys again!
Likes: Excellent car camping tent, well-constructed and has plenty of room.
Dislikes: Hard to get everything back into stuff sack.
Likes: So far I have only done a trial setup in the living room. Setup was easy with one person, the completely symmetrical design makes setup foolproof. Quality of construction and materials seems very good. Very roomy interior with plenty of pockets for storage. The tent is probably too heavy for backpacking, but it might work if you split the weight four ways. Will update after I have a chance to test it on a weekend campout.
Dislikes: For the price, I wish it included a footprint like the Marmot Limelight does.
Likes: Excellent value, Marmot knows how to build tents. perfect for 3 adults or 2 adults and kids - the family.
Likes: Awesome service at backcountryedge.com - tent is great, sturdy, perfect for the family.
Dislikes: A little heavy but its for the family so no big deal.
Likes: Very easy to set up. Everything works the way it should.
Dislikes: It's a little heavy, but not really a surprise with a 4 person tent.
Likes: Lots of room for 2 people and a dog, easy to put up, lots of inside pockets, and held up well in lots of wind (50 mph+), rain, and a grapple downpour. Well-constructed with good materials.
Dislikes: The side-release buckles attaching the fly to the tent get very hard to use in sandy, dusty conditions...had to use a pair of pliers to get them open! The super ventilation is a plus in hot weather, but also let lots of sand and dust into the tent in windy conditions.
Likes: Bright, cheery, and perfect for a family of four. Easy to put up. Roomy. Beautiful tent!
