Learn how to adjust the Lowe Alpine Axiom back system with this instructional video
Equipped with a fully adjustable suspension system and 5795 cubic inches of storage capacity, the Lowe Alpine Expedition 75:95 is truly built for alpine and backcountry adventure. Lightweight, high-tenacity TriShield GRID fabric keeps the Expedition 75:95's weight to a minimum without skimping on performance.
The Axiom 6 back system found on the Expedition 75:95 provides a customized comfortable fit and broad range of adjustability for backpackers of varying torso lengths. Providing maximum balance, with anatomically shaped back panel allows the hipbelt to rotate and react relative to your spine while the lightweight sprung steel frame of the Expedition 75:95 flexes and rotates with your torso. Enhancing comfort, high-performance "rebound" foam on the inside of the lumbar pad responds to the natural curve of your lower back and provides extra support for heavy loads. Twin aluminum stays provide rigid strength for loads of up to 70 pounds. Load-lifter straps and a sliding sternum strap conveniently adjust, allowing you to make micro adjustments while on the move.
The large packbag is accessed underneath a protective and pocketed top lid. The lid provides a secure place to store small gear items and can be removed entirely when not needed. Wraparound compression straps enable you to cinch or expand the depth of the packbag, ensuring that contents remain in place regardless of how heavy a load you are carrying. The straps also aid in securing gear to the outside of the pack.
Numerous grab handles/haul loops, lash points, twin stowable ice axe loops, mitt-friendly buckles and unique trekking/ski pole tip grippers add to the Expedition 75:95's versatility in the backcountry. Two high-volume side pockets accommodate water bottles and a removable separate hydration pack made of strong and light 100D ripstop nylon is also integrated. Providing valuable assistance in emergency situations, the buckle on the sternum strap doubles as a whistle and an informative SOS panel is imprinted on the underside of the lid.
