With a supportive frame, hybrid leather/Cordura construction, and a quick-drying lining, the Lowa Zephyr Mid TF boot is ideal for desert hiking or for use as a service duty boot.
The mix of leather and Cordura makes the Zephyr Desert Mid TF boot more responsive than all-leather offerings but you should still expect a break-in period ahead of extended.
Lowa’s exclusive Monowrap construction ensures reliable stability even under the load of a heavy pack. Consisting of a dual-density PU heel counter, a full-length stabilizer embedded in the midsole, an integrated shock-absorbing midsole and a durable rubber outsole, this construction combines structural support, fatigue-preventative cushioning, and all-surface traction.
The Lowa Men’s Zephyr Desert Mid TF hiking boot is available in men's full and half sizes.

Real Customer Reviews
- Best boots
Likes: Best boots.
- An excellent all-around boot
Likes: This is my third pair in 7 or 8 years, so I'm obviously a loyal fan. While described as "ideal for desert hiking or for use as a service duty boot," it's much more versatile. I use them regularly on day hikes with moderate-slope elevation changes of 800'+. Great ankle support. Very easy to get in and out of.
Dislikes: The outer sole wears out sooner that I would like, but I still get 3+ years before starting to see/feel a difference.
- Most comfortable boots ever!
Likes: Awesome shoe worth the money!
No break in time take them out of the box put them on & you don't even know their there they're so comfortable and they also look very edgy and cool. (Military issue.)
I'll be ordering two more different colors --you won't want to wear your other boots after you worn these.
Also no need for a foot insert like a Dr. Scholl's it's not necessary-
Also Backcountry Edge Personnel ALL the Reps there are so friendly and knowledgeable it's really good to have a company that stands behind their product but they care to know about it and they take care of you 100% I appreciate that-
- Awesome Boot
Dislikes: None, this is my second pair purchased from Backcountry Edge. First pair was sage and is a year old...and I still wear everyday with my uniform (ABUs).
- Great boot
Comfy out of the box
Dislikes: Insole needs replaced for max comfort
