A high-performance option for mountain trekking or demanding backpacking, the Lowa Camino GTX Flex incorporates enhanced traction, fit adjustability, waterproof protection and maximum durability.
The Camino GTX Flex's GORE-TEX lining delivers waterproof/breathable performance that readies the boot for stream crossings and all day slogs in wet weather. Lowa's Flex lacing reduces overall pressure against the foot and give you opportunity to really dial in fit. NOTE: There is a break in period with this boot due to the supportive nubuck leather construction.
Underfoot a PU midsole provides cushioning and TPU inserts help to control supination or over-pronation which reduces fatigue and bolsters stability. A Balance Comfort footbed conforms to your foot, helps manage moisture and eliminates pressure points that could otherwise lead to blisters. The Vibram AllTrail outsole maximizes support and equips the boot with all-surface traction.
The Lowa Camino GTX Flex backpacking boot is available in men's full and half sizes. To keep the leather on this boot in good shape and to prevent water absorption in the upper for the life of the boot you should apply a leather conditioner or wax paste (both sold separately) waterproofing treatment.

Real Customer Reviews
- Just try them already.
Likes: Good support, but not too heavy. Great lacing system and sole. Good fit, true to size.
Dislikes: None yet.
- Fit&Finish Spot on!!
Likes: Fit true to size, excellent support where needed
Dislikes: If I had to choose something it would be they are slightly heavier than what I'm accustomed to.
- Stable platform that fits like a glove.
Likes: I am using these boots for an early season back country archery elk hunt. This requires boots that will support heavy pack loads with comfort to average 12 miles hiking per day. These boots are sturdy, rugged, provide great support, & fit like a glove. I am a big fan of the lacing system including the “tongue stud” that holds the tongue in place.
Dislikes: Boots are very stiff & require a great deal of break in. When they say at least 75 miles that is no exaggeration. They are also slightly heavy as my scales weigh 2.02 lbs per boot.
- The Best!!
Likes: These are the best shoes I've tried. Perfectly waterproof up to the high ankles. Also have great traction. Seemed true to size, I usually wear 11.5 size street shoes, was the same in these.
Dislikes: Runs a little warm.
- Excellent backpacking boots
Likes: Flexibility, traction, extended wear comfort
- Another great Lowa boot
Likes: I had a pair of Lowa boots for the last 15 years, like those, these felt great from the get go. Very little break in time. Relatively light weight for their build and support. Love the lacing system, easy on, easy off. Breathes well. Very waterproof, I did treat the leather with a wipe on leather conditioner. Aggressive Vibram tread design. There is a slight roll up on the toe and the heal, aids in comfort for going up and down steep terrain. They look good too.
Dislikes: Price is a little steep, although I did get 22% off. And if these last me another 15 years, it's probably worth it.
