LEKI Summit Antishock trekking poles provide rugged durability and consistent trail performance. Integrated shock absorption systems and textured cork grips offer excellent value.
Summit Antishock trekking poles feature LEKI's Soft Antishock System (SAS) Lite that reduces stress on the joints, muscles and ligaments. The combination of internal steel spring and elastomer creates a smooth and unique suspension system that is quieter and reduces shock more effectively than other designs. LEKI places the SAS Lite system closer to the point of impact by embedding it inside the shaft of the lower pole section, keeping the spring cleaner and requiring less maintenance.
Incorporating a 15-degree positive angle that preserves a natural position for your wrists, the dynamic, lightweight AERGON COR-TEC grips have an ovoid shape that can be palmed or held traditionally. The grip is made from 80% natural ground cork and 20% latex, making it strong and comfortable. A rubberized, dimpled top offers a textured grip point and easy-adjust straps reduce stress on your wrists and provide additional security and comfort.
The Summit Antishock poles employ carbide flex tips that deflect up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole sections. This reduces the risk of pole breakage if the pole should get caught between rocks or tree roots on the trail.
Standard trekking baskets are included and are interchangeable with a simple screw on/off design that stays secure. Optional snowflake and deep powder baskets (sold separately) allow the poles to be converted for winter use.

- Massive upgrade over my previous set of trekking poles
Likes: Maybe it is because I was used to a cheaper set of trekking poles (Mountainsmith Rhyolite) but the grips on these Leki's are FANTASTIC. Whatever terrain I'm hit with I can adjust my hand placement and find a comfortable spot. I did an 8 mile hike today with them and shaved 4 minutes off per mile compared to the last time I did the same hike AND my knees held up much better. I attribute it completely to these trekking poles.
Dislikes: The only issue I have with them is 1 pole locks more consistently than the other. With one of them if you loosen it too much it will not longer grab internally and the top shaft has to be removed to slightly tighten it so it will lock back down. Though this is likely a common problem with all twist lock style poles I couldn't give them 5 stars because of it.
- Great set of poles, LEKI quality
Likes: The cork grips give a great feel and the adjustable hand straps are very quick and easy to adjust. The anti-shock system is definitely welcome on long hikes and seems to hold up well.
Dislikes: The twist locks are time consuming if you are moving through various terrain where you might be stowing your poles on and off.
- Great product
Likes: Beautifully crafted, light, ergonomic handles, comfy straps and the sas system really works nicely!
Dislikes: Nothing, they're awesome! Buy these poles!
- Great deal!!
Likes: Comfortable handles. Easily adjustable.
Likes: Grips are very comfortable, the cork feels cool to the touch. Much prefer cork to foam or rubber, but that's just me. They are surprisingly lightweight considering it's LEKI's more durable line of pole. Collapse enough so I can strap them to my backpack. My dog doesn't feel a need to eat them as we're hiking.
Dislikes: The mechanism to adjust length is not lightning quick, so if you enjoy switching up the length frequently I'd suggest another model. I have larger hands and would've liked to see the grips a bit thicker. Would be nice if LEKI sold them with a nylon pouch to store them in, but we're kind of nitpicking here now.
