Lightweight and aggressive, yet extremely stable, the La Sportiva Men’s Akasha mountain running shoes are ideal for trail-running, but also offer great support and stickiness for day hiking and fast-packing.
The Trail rocker sole system promotes a heel-to-toe motion for smooth performance. The unique "STB Control" construction in the Men’s Akasha helps to stabilize the shoe’s fit by allowing the upper and midsole to work together synergistically. This construction also reduces weight since heavy stabilizers in the central part of the shoe are unnecessary and have been eliminated.
Weighing roughly 11.35 ounces per shoe, the Men’s Akasha has a gender-specific fit and a 6mm drop (20mm heel, 14mm toe). The Dual injection-molded EVA foam midsole provides cushioned comfort and highly breathable lateral mesh insoles increase underfoot cushioning.
Aggressive outsole delivers excellent traction in mud, gravel and other loose trail surfaces. La Sportiva’s Impact Brake System technology is employed to increase braking power by an average of 20% and decrease impact forces by an average of 20% in the Men’s Akasha.
Sold in pairs, the La Sportiva Men’s Akasha mountain running shoe is available in a broad range of sizes (consult sizing chart for European conversions).

Real Customer Reviews
- Solid shoe, aggressive tread design, firm upper, med cushion

Likes: Fit, comfort, stability, and well built shoe.
Dislikes: Compound used for tread will last for more miles than most shoes, but you sacrifice wet rock grip because of this. I know, I’m being picky. Tough to beat wet traction of S-Speedcross
- Nice light hiker for rugged terrain
-
Likes: Great shoe for hiking the mountains of NH. Feels like, but sturdy. Has the read I want.
Dislikes: Runs small. Sending back for a half size larger.
