Details

The innovative, inflatable Klymit Insulated Static V sleeping pad employs a lightweight, compressible design and utilizes Primaloft insulation to deliver warmth for year-round use. The pad’s unique, pocketed V-chamber design increases warmth and provides excellent support and comfort.

The strategically oriented V-chambers offer a comfortable sleeping base but also help to trap air and keep you warmer than traditional inflatable pads. Horizontally-baffled side rails help to keep you situated on your pad at night and also provide some flexibility should you choose to use the Insulated Static V inside of your sleeping bag. Because of its weight-shaving design, the Insulated Static V inflates in just 10-12 breaths and the integrated valve makes inflation and deflation easy while ensuring a secure closure. Primaloft Eco insulation further bolsters warmth, granting the pad a year-round worthy 4.5 R-value.

The Klymit Insulated Static V sleeping pad has 72" x 23" x 2.5" dimensions but packs down to a backpacking-friendly 8" x 5" and weighs just 25 ounces. Each pad includes a patch kit and a stuff sack.

  • Primaloft synthetic insulation maximizes warmth

  • Measures 72" x 23" x 2.5"
  • Weighs 25 oz
  • Inflates with 10-12 breaths, typically

Likes: Great support/cushion. Insulation too. Inflates quickly in a minute or two with slow long breaths without getting lightheaded. Took me about 12-15 breaths to get as firm as it will go. I really like that this is not a noisy inflatable when rolling around on it like some other brands. The few added ounces added is worth it to me for more cushion and less noise. To my relief it fit in my BA mattress sleeve. Packs up about the size of a nalgene bottle.

Dislikes: It does lose a little air overnight which is not uncommon for an inflatable.

Likes: I was really surprised how well the pad performed. I wanted something lighter and this pad fit the bill. It is more comfortable to me than my 2 1/2" pad. The V chambers really make for a more comfortable feel. At 5'11", 194 did not bottom out, even on my side.

Dislikes: If valve holds up over time this will be my choice of sleeping pad from now on.

Likes: This is the best sleeping pad for the price period.
Inflates fast.
Easy to pack back into its carrying pouch.
Very comfortable.
Takes up very little room in my pack. (about the size of a football)

Dislikes: No complaints

Likes: It's a 3 season mat with a 4.5 R-value.Rolls up tight and small with it's own stuff sack and repair kit. Wide enough to keep you from rolling off of it while you're in a sound sleep.Inside your sleeping bag works best and a bivy bag over your sleeping bag.

Dislikes: Would have liked it in green.

Likes: Great pad on rough ground, gives lots of clearance. Seems to be warm, only used it down to 30 deg temps so far. Would give 5 stars if I knew how durable this pad will be over the years, only been out 4 times.

Dislikes: Somewhat slippery in the mummy bag, but not as bad as others i've tried.
