The innovative, inflatable Klymit Insulated Static V sleeping pad employs a lightweight, compressible design and utilizes Primaloft insulation to deliver warmth for year-round use. The pad’s unique, pocketed V-chamber design increases warmth and provides excellent support and comfort.

The strategically oriented V-chambers offer a comfortable sleeping base but also help to trap air and keep you warmer than traditional inflatable pads. Horizontally-baffled side rails help to keep you situated on your pad at night and also provide some flexibility should you choose to use the Insulated Static V inside of your sleeping bag. Because of its weight-shaving design, the Insulated Static V inflates in just 10-12 breaths and the integrated valve makes inflation and deflation easy while ensuring a secure closure. Primaloft Eco insulation further bolsters warmth, granting the pad a year-round worthy 4.5 R-value.

The Klymit Insulated Static V sleeping pad has 72" x 23" x 2.5" dimensions but packs down to a backpacking-friendly 8" x 5" and weighs just 25 ounces. Each pad includes a patch kit and a stuff sack.

  • Primaloft synthetic insulation maximizes warmth

Inflatable sleep on a cloud
Reviewed by Evan M. - March 12, 2019

Likes: Comfort, width, and ease of inflation, the compact size and repair kit. Would highly recommend for those on a budget and who are unconcerned about weight savings.

Dislikes: Weight was 25oz if I recall correctly, going for ultralight setup so i decided to return this for a Thermarest Neo Air Xlite that I caught on a monthly members sale for $87. No regrets in the trade off from Klymit to Thermarest, saved myself 13 oz with the transition.

Great insulated pad

Best value I’ve found!

Likes: Light and quick inflating. Comfortable and well insulated.

Dislikes: A little loud.

Good thickness and firm
Reviewed by Jim H. - December 19, 2017

Likes: Takes 12-15 breaths to inflate to firm. Can sleep on side without bottoming out. Haven’t used in cold weather yet.

Dislikes: Little tough to fully deflate when rolling up to stow in bag. Take a little bit to figure out the valve. Push to close - pull to open. It tends to close on its own which I guess is okay.

Exceptional performance

Likes: It blows up incredibly fast. I think it took me about 14 breaths. I am impressed with how comfortable it is. We are campground camping the next two weeks and we may use these instead of our big queen sized air mattress.

Great pad
Reviewed by Bret W. - May 8, 2017

Likes: This pad made sleeping on my Helinox Cot One very comfortable. Without it, you might as well be sleeping on a wood floor. It cushioned and insulated well.

Dislikes: The valve broke the first time I went to deflate it for packing. I'm returning it and will try to be gentler with the next one, though I'm not sure how I managed to tear the top off a plastic component like that!

Likes: I am a side sleeper. This is an upgrade over my REI 1.t lite core. I am a big boy and it is wide enough.

Likes: Great support/cushion. Insulation too. Inflates quickly in a minute or two with slow long breaths without getting lightheaded. Took me about 12-15 breaths to get as firm as it will go. I really like that this is not a noisy inflatable when rolling around on it like some other brands. The few added ounces added is worth it to me for more cushion and less noise. To my relief it fit in my BA mattress sleeve. Packs up about the size of a nalgene bottle.

Dislikes: It does lose a little air overnight which is not uncommon for an inflatable.
